Jimmy is the chosen one this year and I think Mel was getting very popular so they have given her a Big Brother type edit.
I agree with this, look how they keep pushing Jimmy to the front for everything. The swimming pool challenge where he saw his mate and then we see him do another trial with foggey tonight. I am sick of it being the Jimmy and kendra show. They have pushed Mel on the back burner!

Thought she was out of order with Vicky, she was 1 of my favourites at the start but gone right off her

It's not just the snappiness though. I mean, you could forgive anyone for being snappy in there! There's just something missing with her - maybe a sense of humour, I don't know. Or maybe it's the nicey-nice image is starting to crack. In hindsight, her niceness was pretty full-on. Empty barrels make the most noise!

Me too I thought Mel was great at first, a team player with no whinging, just get on with it and very determined in the trial. But have now seen another side to her and it is not nice to see. She has been snappy with Michael, Jake and Vicky and (bar Jake) I don't think the other two have done anything to warrant this. I think Michael has been a gentleman and let it go but Vicky is more prepared to stand her ground - good for her
I didn't like the way she snapped at Vicky , they are in a group situation and were all sitting together, why shouldn't vicky have contributed an opinion , and her snapping at Michael was uncalled for also, And she was the one telling Kendra to calm down...

Yes it's all becoming a bit predictable in pushing Jimmy to the forefront of everything and hyping him up as hilarious on the ITV2 show. Kendra on the otherhand is this year's chosen to take the flack from the public and be blamed for any conflict or dissension in the camp. I've noticed that Jimmy isn't any better than Kendra at doing the trials, but it's all edited in a fun way and he's been given the cheeky chappy can do no wrong edit.

Mel was downright rude to Vicky and no-one pulled her up on it. Vicky made an innocent remark and Mel snapped at her that she wasn't talking to her. It was not a private conversation, they were all sat around the table so Vicky could make a comment if she wanted to.

Methinks that Mel has anger issues and is not the nice person she would have us all believe she is. Have gone right off her.

It's fascinating how your perceptions change over time. I thought Melanie was great at first but she's started to show a different side to her and it's not nice at all. It's strange because I can't quite put my finger on why I don't like her any more but....I've really gone off her.
Yes agree... and it seems that is why the young husband got shot of her recently.. a nasty vicious side to her... we are seeing more of it as the show goes on!

She was. Twice now she has jumped down Vicky's throat. She seems to be spoiling for a arguement!

Australia, isn't it?
When I used to show visitors around the studios where I worked, inevitably the question of where the show was being made would come up. I would pull their legs and say it was being produced from a dis-used Centre Parc somewhere on the east coast of the UK. No-one believed me.

I've always thought Mel was false.
She's a right snappy cow in the jungle though.

My support is for Vicky.

Another one here who has gone right off her, hopefully so have many others. I would hate to see her win now.

Reference Tinchy why did Andi Peters on the I T V 2 show keep saying we hadn't seen him do anything, well he did a trial early on and did quite well, has everyone forgotten that?

I don't know what's going on but the twice she snapped at Vicky there appeared to be no reason for it. Vicky wasn't being obnoxious at all and Mel was downright rude. As for whispering to the others that Vicky was having a go at her, they must think she's losing the plot. When she hosted that show with Des O'Connor she could be snappy with him.

It seems to me that she lacks genuine warmth.

Hmm yes, I had forgotten that! Seems she has a bit of a snappy nature anyway
Let's not forget she was arrested for assaulting her young ex husband. She also crudely sent tweets while having sex with him. So I reckon she is putting on the nicey nice act. I personally don't like her and think she will blow soon

Gone off Mel a lot now. I know we're not seeing the full picture but her behavior towards Vicki was nasty. 'It's all about me'.

I was just going to start a thread about Mel- but I'll put my thoughts in here instead. I think we are going to start seeing the "real" Mel Sykes soon. I never believed all that nicey nicey helpful pleasing side. I think when she gets angry, she REALLY BLOWS. So I just hope Vicky isn't going to get it in the neck.
Totally agree about Mel. There's something about her I don't like. Imo, she is trying to be so nice to everyone yet the mask is slipping

Started off liking Mel and hoping she would win . Now I am seeing a bit a mean streak in her . Of course I am also aware that it can be edited let us presume its all her fault in a spat

And thereby hangs the problem for all of them. Then when someone isn't known for their calm demeanour?

Lol @ people hating Mel for being a bit "snappy"!

How do these people cope in their real lives?

I really liked Mel to begin with even though in the past I thought she was incredibly false.

I think I should have stuck to my first impression - the cracks are showing. She wants to be seen as fun and carefree but ..............I do think she's a bit of a control freak and diva. Not sure how much longer she can keep up the act.
