There's the general " it was nonsense" explanation of his remarks. Or several others.
It was another rambling LS attempt at adding drama - by pretending any of three could go.
He genuinely has no idea of what goes on or who is good, and he needs boardroom arguments to tell him what he thinks he needs to know. She hasn't been in the last 3 in the boardroom except when she lost as PM , so he genuinely hasn't noticed her.
She's an accountant, so he had written her off.
She's doing well but making no dramatic impression so they are creating her a storyline - its the same as Leah's "late run" story last year. that too started with a strong boardroom defence.
