Emmerdale's the Dingles are the best for me! Zac and Lisa are brilliant parents. Belle is improving all the time too. The strangest but highly watchable family relationship is between Patrick, Sienna, Dodger and Nico on Hollyoaks. The worst parent child relationship is between Sharon and Denny on Eastenders, it's just never worked.

Yes, these too! Mick and Nancy especially have great chemistry. When Mick asked Nancy if she had farted I thought they worked very well together! I suspect this was something the actors improvised rather than it being in the script. It worked which ever way.

Jack and Darren Osborne in Hollyoaks have a very believable and often touching father-son relationship.

We need more scenes with these two!

Beth and Craig (CS). When they first arrived, I wasn't sure they were going to fit into the show; but they have grown on me. Beth is irresponsible, stupid sometimes, but she loves Craig; and he loves her.

Agreed, there have been some very convincing and touching family moments with the Osbournes.

I agree. I also agree about Jack and Darren in HO.

I think Belle with Lisa and Zak in ED also have good chemistry.

Lauren and Abi with Tanya and Max. There are certain manerisms that Lauren and Abi have that remind me of Tanya, even though it's just acting and none of them are really related.

I definitely think Nancy and Johnny have great chemistry with Mick and Linda and it's one of the main things I'll miss when Johnny leaves, particularly his relationship with Mick. He didn't have as many scenes with him as he did with Linda but whenever they did have a "deep and meaningful" I felt that there was a real connection between them. It's such a shame we're losing that.

I agree with all your choices.

I can't think of any more off hand though.

EE -

Dot/Nick
Peggy/Phil/Grant/Sam
Bianca/All her kids
Linda & Mick/Their kids
Lola/Lexi - there's a very believable young mother and child portrayal.

HO -

Nana/Myra & Kathleen
Myra/McQueen kids
Jack/Darren
Cindy/Holly
Sam Lomax/Lomax girls
Fraser/Trevor - I know they weren't father and son but the type of step dad/son relationship they had was very good (when they weren't trying to kill each other).

Dot and Nick, the actors work so well together and you can tell that they get on in real life too.

I also think that Karl and Susan Kennedy in Neighbours have a great parent/child relationships with all the Kennedy children.

Most of the families have great chemistry together, the ones that don't are usually axed.

But the best parent/child chemistry currently on screen would be

CS
Audrey and Gail
David and Gail
Steve and Liz
Eileen and Jason
Deirdre and Tracy
Sally and Sophie

ED
Zach and Cain
Lisa and Belle
Charity and Debbie
Charity and Noah
Chas and Aaron
Paddy and Aaron ( he's basically his Dad)
( pretty much all the Dingles have great chemistry together)

EE
Mick and Nancy
Linda and Johnny
Carol and Sonia
Max and Lauren
Max and Abi

Karl, Susan and Libby in Neighbours. I don't think the chemistry with Malcolm and Billy was as good. As with Libby they seem to really love her. I think the three actors are very close in real life, which helps a lot.

Cain and Debbie in ED -it seems dysfunctional at times, but she's definitely a daddy's girl and you do get the sense that there's a real bond between them.
Cain and Zak - again the bond seems very genuine, but there's also that sense that they hold back and don't say things which should really be said, and that seems quite realistic
Ashley and Sandy. As with Cain and Zak, I like that they've had a difficult past but come through it. I really liked that Sandy forgave Ashley for hitting him, and was understanding when other people turned against Ashley.
