Hollyoaks map on their new game
I have seen that Hollyoaks have launched a game that can be played on phones etc: ...Good use of their money obviously rather than investing in storylinerss and actors but that is for another thread...
A map has shown the layout of the Hollyoaks village and I am confused: 1) The Dog in the Pond is behind Price Slice, but I thought whenever the characters go to the dog they go through the arch on the other side of the village. 2) When characters go down the alleyway opposite the stairs to the Lomax's/Grace and Trevors/Tony's it leads to an industrial wasteland/car park but it takes you to the dog car park. 3) The school is no where near the Hospital. However, when Grange Hill aired, the back of the school had the mini ampitheatre row which is seen next to the hospital. |

Unlike Corrie or EastEnders, which have one complete backlot set with everything connected, the Hollyoaks set is in different sections of an old college site. Because of this the geography of the different parts of the village has changed over the years. I remember when The Dog exploded, the flames were reflected in the archway, but last year when the council flats exploded, the archway led there, which is what they seem to have gone with on the map.
The school and the hospital are two seperate buildings, that were both used by Grange Hill to be different parts of the school. Emmerdale had the same problem before they moved to their current set. The geography of the village has changed over the years, as well as the locations of Home Farm, The Mill, etc. Now this map has been created, there might be more continuity over where places are in relation to each other. |

Thank you for the explanation. Is it all in walking distance for the cast or do they get coaches? I know Emmerdale get coaches from interior to exterior shots. The school building interior leads into the Mcqueens interior I think |

The show doesn't need improving. It's only a handful of people on this who don't like it. Twitter and other websites have all had positive reviews and the ratings are very much up. In fact, the only place with negativity is on here. I doubt the show cares if a handful of people on don't like the current state of the show. People on DS are meet happy anyway. |
