high street mobile phone repair?
I bought a GSmart phone from Ideal World in April this year and the charging port has stopped working so the phone is now dead.
I messaged GSmarts online support and they told me to ring the UK company or Ideal world. Well the phone number on the website just says "Sorry we cannot connect your call" when I ring it, and Ideal World cut me off before my call had been answered ![]() Is there anywhere on the high street that can fix the phone because I don't know what else to do right now! Not a happy bunny

It might be repaired under the manufacturer's warranty, in which case you need to find the manufacturer's approved service centre. I'm not sure if you even need proof of purchase - my S3 had the manufacturing date info contained in the phone's chip, so with a new phone it's likely that the purchase date will be close enough to the manufacturing date to prove it's in warranty.
I would have thought the Carphone Warehouse repair centre would be the best bet if there's one in your town. They're an approvd Service centre for some manufacturers. I don't know why you're going down this route though - you have legal rights. Have you contacted Trading Standards? |

You need to contact Ideal World again as your contract is with them. Try phoning again or e-mail them.
