Give up on Emmerdale
I have now give up watching Emmerdale, the writers need to get a grip and start writing believable story lines.the Dingles are NOT loveable rouges they are thieving criminals who always get away with crimes,Charity needs to pay for all her crimes and the ridiculous story line of her moving in with Moira and Kane is just crazy,so until the writers start coming up with decent plots I'm gone.

Complete Drivel
Thursday 27/11/14 was complete drivel.
We are supposed to believe that Moira wouldn't notice knock-off cars being taken to the farm and the police wouldn't notice the evidence being driven away in front of them. Moira then throws out serial crook Charity before, after all of about 10 seconds, she changes her mind and gives her yet another "last chance". Forget Pete co-operating with the police over Charity as you know it will lead nowhere. We see hard men Cain and Zak (another pair of Dingle crooks) threatening a young lad over the flimsiest of evidence over Belle's injuries and Lisa in a flap when it's blatantly obvious she's self-mutilating. How much of the 90 mins was devoted to toe-curling footage of Jimmy/Nicola and Marlon/Laurel wanting to have a sh*g? The balance of the characters is now such that episodes can turn into a tedious Dingle/Barton show. Highlight was June Ackland in that shirt - she didn't look half bad. |

I'm getting bored with it too. Charity needs to go back in that container ! There are too many Dingles and now James and his family are in it they dominate the show.

Isn't Declan still on the loose too?
The lack of genuine resolution to any storyline is really frustrating with Emmerdale. It all just goes on and on and it's tedious. I don't even watch it properly, I just know all the storylines via osmosis due to the missus being a fan. |

We have stopped watching it since it has become wall to wall vulgarity. Jimmy and Nicola continually talking about their sex life and acting it out on screen; ditto Marlon and Laurel, ditto the crude Kerry man. I read somewhere that Jimmy is now going around the village showing people his privates parts for comparison with their's. Emmerdale now appears to be written by pubescent boys behind the bike sheds.

it is largely very poor at the moment and that is reflected by the awful ratings that are falling at a time when they should be increasing.
Kate Oates has not produced one single ratings hit of her own during her entire reign. These dire ratings [5.5 last night] should be taken note of by the people above her. She's had long enough to get things right but she's failed. |

I agree with the fact there there are too man Dingles, but I could tolerate all the characters if we saw ALL of them regularly rather than groups of them in blocks.
But vulgarity? Where? Thursday's episode was about as vulgar as a Carry On Film. It was good humorous fun. |

I agree about the Dingles in particular and while I still enjoy the show, I tend to switch the channel when they're onscreen. They're not loveable rogues - just a sorry collection of bullies, drama queens and imbeciles.
Cain is the worst of the lot (it use to be Debbie the mafia don) despite having a softer demeanor in recent years. Every now and then the old Cain resurfaces. For example, the whole situation with Belle, he has no idea what's going on and rather than approaching Chrissie to get her side of the story, he decides to basically threaten her teenage son and lay down the Dingle Law in rather tedious fashion. It just made Cain look pathetic. When people have a problem, they go to Cain instead of the police lol. He really has become Emmerdale's answer to Phil Mitchell and not in a good way. I actually prefer Ross as at least he can be funny and doesn't throw his weight around. Zak and Lisa are just plain annoying, always tip-toeing around the angelic princess Belle and blaming others for her fragile state. So tedious. And it amuses me how they always hate on the Home Farm residents and look at them as snobs, did they forget Lawrence bought them drinks in the Woolpack when he first arrived and socialised with them? Of course they forgot that. It's like their default setting to hate the Home Farm folk. |

The Dingles have become a parody of themselves.
Laurel's no sex dilemma is about as interesting as watching paint dry the thought of Marlon Dingle humping anyone is a disturbing one. If that's not enough the antics of Jimmy & Nicola last night have scarred me for life. Robert & Andy's feud is tedious and I don't like where they're going with Robert & Aaron. I hope he's playing him. There's nothing particularly wrong with Chrissie and her dad it's just no family in Home Farm is ever going to live up to the Tates. I would retire the set now. The Tates are too iconic viewers won't ever stop associating them with the place which has lacked something ever since they left. Characters who would be perfectly fine elsewhere end up looking really bland just because of where they are. |

I don't think Emmerdale has ever tested my loyalty so much. Jimmy's a**e whilst I'm eating my dinner, Maurel talking about their sex life, and NuRob (who is Nathan part 2 as far as acting goes) and Aaron are going to get it on in what I can only assume will be a storyline filled with sizzling face mashing (no actual kissing of course).

get it together Emmerdale, it's not funny and it's not clever! I actually preferred the Ashley beating up Sandy SL to this, and that is saying something! |

They've put Cain's first scene up on the website and the Dingles were so much better back then. |
