So pathetic seeing this guy desperately wanting to come across well to viewers and in the camp. Thought he came across as a bit fake last night. He is in a jungle and has nothing else to do.

He didn't like what Melanie said and wanted to "bitch" about it but decided not to because it would be filmed for a tv audience. Why are you even in the jungle?

He knows what he's doing.

He's very creepy with the sexual comments. Didn't he say to Mel something about her taking her top off?

It seems he knows he has little talent and that must mess with your head when you're with other people who have talent or have made a name for themselves.

That's your opinion but I completely disagree with you.

He comes across as a lovely lad, bright, enthusiastic, charming, a little insecure and self-deprecating at times but above all very likeable. My kids love him and they're good judges.

I don't think he's coming across very well at all. I've known of him for a good few years and he has desperately been trying to make it as a singer for a long time. I think X Factor was his last shot at it as he did say that if it didn't work out then he would have to knuckle down and find another job.career to focus on as he needed an income. X Factor obviously didn't work out and when he was offered I'm A Celeb, I'm guessing he jumped at the chance. He would have been paid a huge amount of money (well, a huge amount for someone like Jake anyway). I can see why he decided to do it. Thing is though, he's coming across as so desperate to be liked and I also think he's holding back a hell of a lot as he wants to be seen as nice to the viewers.

BIB- that's a good point. When I say he comes across as fake, it's because you can tell he's playing a role in which he thinks will get him more votes/be popular. It's coming across as desperate and that is unlikeable.

I don't agree that he should be in the jungle since I don't think he's a celebrity- he's an x factor finalist from this year after all- but it just feels that he's doing it to just be famous, not to be a singer.

Most of the people in there this year are jungle savvy and are playing a game . This is turning into Big Brother.

exactly how i see it, sometimes people with insecurities act like that, always looking for peoples approval, it shows on his face at times even during x factor how unsure he is over things and on his youtube videos.

His cover of mysterious girl which he performed at Thorpe Park is actually quite good - and thats coming from someone who detests that song. He is definitely a likeable lad.

I noticed that he mocked Kendra for her lack of singing ability, as though he's known as an expert in the singing department.

He wasn't laughing when he found out that his own singing wasn't appreciated was he?

I thought the same lol
He is deluded.... saying he came into the jungle with "half a talent".... he has NO talent .I can't stand watching him or listening to him ...one desperate wannabe.

I also think he's a likeable lad he's been offered the chance to go in the Jungle imo he'd have been daft not to have taken it

I'm not really here for Jake. I just find him a bit much at times, like he's trying too hard to be funny, or to impress or look like a 'lad.' He doesn't really come across natural as would someone like Jimmy who does.

As for the singing thing with Kendra. He went a bit over the top with teaching her to sing. Let's be honest, his vocals were pretty mediocre on x-factor. I'm sure a lot love him but imo he's a bit too try-hard

He just seems a nice lad who's happy to be there.

I think he's a nice lad, a proper Mummy's boy, I do find some of his actions and reactions a bit immature, don't think he's a fully developed man yet (apart from his physique). In fact, half way through the show last night, I turned to my husband and said - HE'S ACTING LIKE A 10 YEAR OLD BOY

You know, before you said that- I had a sense that this was his back story. There is a big whiff of last chance saloon about the way he presents himself. I think it would be great if what we see IS his actual personality but I feel that it's an act to stay in the lap of zelebland for a few more years. Again, like Mel- he strikes me as someone that can switch on you at the drop of a hat, if you ruffle his feathers too much.

He knows he is not a celebrity, I don't get where people get this impression that he thinks he's God's gift. I don't get it. Good on him, he just seems like an average nice lad... just like the everyday mid 20s guy of this country.

In a nut shell.

IMO he was unlucky to have been voted off so early in X Factor - there were/are quite a few a hell of a lot worse than him.

He's just a 'normal' young lad who has snapped up an opportunity - good luck to him.

How I feel about him too. His mum can feel proud, in my opinion.
