Already sounds better quality than MDNA.

It's bad.
I love and adore Madonna, but let's be honest, this song is a cheesy drivel. I expected much, much more of her. |

Why do u think it's cheesy?
The music and production are generic and boring. I'm genuinely disappointed. |

Are these from her upcoming album? If so they're highly generic, but that doesn't surprise me. She's never been a great singer, but her voice sounds rough and incredibly weak. Maybe they're not finished. No doubt most of her fans with go crazy over them like they do everything she releases.
Anyone would think Madonna was an 18-year-old pop singer instead of an artist whose been in the business for 30 years. Her music gets worse with each passing year. One would think at nearly 60 years old she would be able to help create something of substance and depth instead of regressing to the point that she's happy to put out any rubbish as long it bags her another number one album with moderate sales. I wonder which younger pop star she'll team up with this time. Katy Perry? Miley Cyrus? Rihanna? Ariana Grande? After all, Madonna's spent the last ten years teaming up with popular rappers and singers in a desperate attempt at trying to appeal to the youth market. She's so desperate for another number one single on the US Hot 100. Her last was fourteen years ago. Poor thing. |

I know Madonna's a gay icon, but I really wish she would move away from this generic dance music. I feel like I'm stuck in a dodgy gay bar. I remember there was a time when you could listen to her music and not feel ashamed or embarrassed by it. I know she needs to up her low album sales and chart positions, but there has to be a better way to do it other than jumping on the Avicii bandwagon.

The reaction to the songs has been 80% praise online from what I can tell. There are some Kylie fans trying to shout loud about how awful it is however. I'm not sure why certain Kylie fans have always resented Madonna. Its not M's fault Kylie never made it to global icon status.

It's exciting cos it's new Madonna music, but disappointing at the same time. Rebel Heart is catchy and pleasant enough, but it sounds like it could be by Rhinanna, Katy Perry or any other generic female singer. Maybe it'll grow on me. Wash All Over Me has made no impression on me.
It's been so frustrating being a Madonna fan these past few years. She seems so concerned with proving that age shouldn't hold her back, and she doesn't seem to have the self awareness to realise she's becoming a cliche. She's supposed to lead the pack, be ahead of the game, but in reality she's just sounding like everyone else. I don't want her to just to repeat what she's done in the past, but the quality of her music has really dropped these past few years. Where's the Madonna who wrote Drowned World? What It Feels Like For A Girl? Hung Up even? |

Awww...Well maybe it will grow on you. It IS a lot better than the singles from MDNA though.
I was always a fan of her, but she really needs to step up her game. Her recent stuff desperately lacks substance, and when there is some, it is served like a cliche. She needs to be more daring and not afraid to experiment with sound and production. She can do it. This is the woman who gave us Erotica and Ray of Light after all, even when it's hard to believe it at the moment. |

It's far worse than a few ok-ish MDNA album tracks like Gang Bang or Masterpiece. MDNA was an underwhelming album and the singles were shockingly bad, so it's not hard to top it. I don't think Rebel Heart does tho.

Hopefully these leaks suggest that the next album isn't all too far away. I missed the links above - but I would have regretted listening to them anyway. But the small clip I heard of Rebel Heart yesterday sounded pretty good.
She'll have to work hard to find a lead single with the same impact as Hung Up though. |

Madonna with Avicii for me is just awesome. I love it, the hit she's needed for so long. Best song in ages!

I love it! I don't understand the comments on here. It sounds nothing like Rihanna or Katy Perry. It's dance, but it's a little more mature and introspective than some of her recent work. In fact, it reminds me of some songs from American Life.
Dance music has always been at the heart of Madonna's work and art. So I don't see why people expect her to abandon dance music. I think the song does a great job of maintaining the dance side of Madonna with a slightly more mature and introspective feel. |

Both tracks I would estimate are still demos and not finished track.
Both tracks better then much off MDNA. Both tracks feature slightly cringe/clumsy lyrics (Narrrr-cisit) as has always been the case with Madge. Regardless, welcome back my queen. |

I'm loving her using the lower register in Rebel Heart...we don't get to hear that very often. It's definitely much more mature sounding than say GMAYL or GGW.

Interesting fact today, the guitar on Rebel Heart is all Madonna
Who says she never plays instruments on her own music
