Maybe that could be the sort of blokey banter you may have with your best mate of 20 years standing but not someone you've only known for a week.

I week in a very male environment and hear all sorts all day long but that was out of order

If it had been banter Jimmy wouldn't have whispered, he's one of those who mocks with a fake laugh - but means it.

Jimmy's onslaught could have worked as banter 'roll eyes' if he hadn't just shown how angry he was at Jake for saying he'd mistaken Michael for him. Jake was right, Jimmy can give it but CANNOT take it

Anyone else feel sorry for Michael who was there whilst Jimmy went ballistic at the idea that his body was like his

To the OP: I wouldn't say Jimmy is ruining the show but he is a very annoying man.

He's like an overgrown child. Hugely annoying and covering up nasty remarks as just "banter.
Silly little man and Jake should have replied to the banter with some comment about Jimmys Long grey hair.I don't like Jake but Jimmy is vile.

That wasn't 'banter'. It was designed to humiliate and intimidate and it worked. Jake looked really awkward and was clearly struggling to know what to say in the face of it. Nasty piece of work who clearly has an over inflated opinion of himself.”

I've never heard of him either, nasty little pr**k. He wouldn't have got away with it if Edwina had been there, talking to her Jake like that. Was Mel not there then, if she was, why didn't she pipe up and say something.

Yes, I was just about to say that, Michael must have been a bit put out by Jimmy's extreme reaction, although something tells me that Michael is much more of a man than to worry about things like that.

Jimmy was downright nasty. He could not take Jake's joking about him having the same body type as Michael. He probably thought he would come across really well by putting Jake down and saying he thought he was something special because he has a few muscles and he's just some failure from the X-Factor. Up unto tonight I didn't like Jake but he held his own and got a few digs in and I want Jimmy out before him now. I think Jimmy lost this fight and was probably told he may have gone too far which is why he made some attempt at an apology. Too late. He lost the fight and he lost audience support with it.

In the follow-up programme Swash (of course) tried to make out it was just male banter and Jimmy being 'macho'. I have six brothers and they ribbed each other mercilessly but never had to resort to that kind of stuff. He chose Jake's weakest point - thinking he's not worthy of being there - and used it on him. Nothing macho about that, it's just the sign of a weak, nasty man. Glad to know that 76% of people who voted in the show (stupid though it is) thought Jimmy was in the wrong.

In fairness, I'd imagine Michael would know that most fellas under 50 would not want to be compared to a bloke in his sixties in the body type department. He was a young man himself once. Michael was more concerned with the overreaction of Jimmy and the cruelty of what he said to Jake.

On this occasion, Jake's remarks were banter 'Oi, she thought you were Michael, you must have the same body type'. Jimmy's remarks were certainly not banter 'You're an effin' nobody, you little prick, you're some tosser thrown off the X-Factor. You thought you had it in the bag walking in here with your effin' muscles. What have you done in life? Nuffink.' Well he has done something now Jimmy, he's shown you up for the tosser you are.

He isn't ruining it, it's made dull because the people are to really celebrities and there are too many contrived story's , the trails are just revolting and most of the camp mates have come in coached to the eyeballs
It's rubbish, I record and watch an hour show in 20 mins. I think this will be the last one I watch.

Jake should have flattened the wee twit.. but all goes now in Jakes favour and off the showoff who was getting on my nerves.. I loved when Michael said about a low branch..

He's been an irritating potty mouthed attention seeker since day one.

I learned last night it's baaaantar innit ...

I think last nights show makes you question how genuine he has been in his support of others too. Apart from his jokes, what I had liked about Jimmy was the fact he seemed to get on with everyone, see the best in people and want to bring that out. After seeing him last night, his words of support to others now seem a bit hollow - and I'm not sure how much of it was coming from a genuine place and how much was him just bigging everyone up in a loud, 'banterish' way without really caring about being supportive.

I don't think Jimmy cares about anything but himself. I see him as selfish, a loud-mouthed show-off, and extremely childish. He for example cannot accept that he is now no longer in the female eye, but Jake is. Certainly he spit the dummy out when he realised Michael had been taken for him. He should have just laughed it off, be a good sport. I do not know if he is though, some of the print about him shows him in quite a few brawls. Of course he cannot do this in the Jungle, so grabs attention by playing the fool and making up to poor Foggy, who is getting fed up with it. I would have thought when he saw Foggy with his wife, he would have stopped, got the message.

From the third day I found him to be an irritating manchild. Now he is a vicious irritating manchild.

The producers have pushed him down our throats since day one. He has been picked for most of the tasks. Can't stand him.

The combination of endless complaining and excruciating self-promotion was unwatchable.”

While I agree with what you say, I admit to wondering what Kendra and Gemma would have been like together!
Although I had never heard of him before IAC, I have warmed to him. At least he is doing something, along with Foggy and Jake! Michael, Vicky, Tinchy and Nadia may as well not be there for all they have contributed.
I think it would have been truer to say that we have had very little chance to see them because the first three you mentioned - along with Kendra - have had MOST of almost every programme. So perhaps the "contribution" is outside their hands.

Nooo! Jimmy's my favourite because he is everything I look for in a camp mate. He's funny, entertaining and always cheerful. Also, I love his and Foggys' relationship!

'Banter' being the male equivalent of being an insufferable bitch. Problem is that they can usually only give it out, they don't like people who bite back. He's a nasty piece of work who's probably the life and soul of whichever East End pub he haunts and I'm sure it's fine if you're pissed. Unfortunately the viewers and campmates are sober.

I have to mute the TV when he starts shouting, so yes, he's ruining it for me. I literally can't stand the sound of his voice.
