Charges after using a PAC?

My 24 months is up and I got my PAC code yesterday, but didn't do so before my allowances were refreshed for the 25th month. I'm keen to leave, but what happens if I do that with so much of the month remaining? Do I have to pay for the whole month even though I'm billed in advance? For example if my move to a new provider went through on Thursday, would I be paying my existing network for the remaining three weeks I wouldn't use as well as my new network? I've had conflicting advice from other networks' stores I went into and from the CPW.

You just pay for however much you've used, so it'll be a month divided by how many days in the month, then x the days you've used. I've just had the same with vodafone

You sure? I thought I was billed for the whole month when I left VF, with approx 10 days to go of my PAC.
