Hell no. He's improving all the time and smashed the other team to bits. Sugar's incompetence with the skeleton and his own instructions got Filipe fired. Come on Alan, step it up.

He doesn't just fail week after week but he fails spectacularly . Of course he should have gone this week and many weeks ago . No way in a million years would I go into partnership with such a terrible candidate .

One of Sugar's major flaws is that in most of the Apprentice series there is always one candidate he takes a liking too and lets this person escape from firing week after week and they are usually, if not always, male .

It's called good TV. The producers influence the Lord, whatever he claims to the contrary. Who wants to watch inane grinning from Solomon or Sanjay moaning week after week? That's the deadweight that would be left if Daniel were to go sooner.

Sanjay, after last night is easily the worst candidate I have ever seen exist til this stage

I think Daniel is being kept in the process is for exactly the same reason that Stuart Baggs was kept in so long, he will be torn to shreds in the interviews. Will make great telly.

If he gets to the interview stage, then yes 100%.

At this point, and I never thought I would say this a few weeks ago, I think Sanjay and Solomon are weaker candidates than Daniel. Okay, he made a mistake in backing Felipe with regards to the paper skeleton, though I still think AS was wrong but hey ho. Apart from that I thought he reigned himself in on this task, he was a good TL, even Mark and Katie agreed until they realised they'd lost the task and turned on him.

Sanjay has shown nothing at all. He can't sell, he can't negotiate, he can't lead a team well, he's terrible when it comes to logistics and last night just hammered home the fact that he really is useless to be honest. The only reason he can still be in the running is that his businessplan must be fairly strong, I cannot understand why he would still be there otherwise.

As for Solomon, again I am struggling to see what he does. He just seems to be floating along and escapes the boardroom purely because other people have done worse jobs than him, he just doesn't seem to have anything about him.

Pretty much in complete agreement with your post.

In terms of the worst performing Tom was probably the worst as I think he on the winning team only 2 or 3 weeks out of the whole. He was of course the inventor of a very successful product (the nail file) so it was obvious that LS would invest in him. That was the year it changed from being a job to being an investment and LS even said himself that had it been the job and not the investment then Helen (runner up) would have won.

Daniel is pretty bad as was Stuart Baggs but LS probably already has 2-3 candidates in mind he wants for the final. Everybody else is just there to "make the numbers up" and provide the entertainment. Stuart Baggs was bad but he provided great interview entertainment, which I'm sure Daniel will do aswell

It won't be entertaining to see that oaf Claude state a load of things we already know and horrifically belittle someone when he has no right to do so.

He can be bad, but I do think he genuinely tries his best and really wants to try to prove that he can do it, even if he can't. And that does appeal to me.
I also think that last night he did show that his efforts and dedication to try his best yielded a good performance for the most part.

I think others have been much worse than him though. For example I don't think Sanjay is very good at all.

But I'm guessing you'd have no problems with him doing this to Mark?

I still don't think Daniel is a good candidate in any way, shape or form. He should have been fired weeks ago.
However, I'm beginning to think he isn't the absolute worst. Sanjay was woeful last night.

No, I don't like Claude talking to anyone like that.

Fair enough. Personally, I agree. Claude goes too far. But then, he's being told to I suppose for entertainment purposes.

No improvement here, his game plan worked though! He managed to buy a chicken for 4pound. What a saving. Mark and Katie were great though!

He did a lot more than that. He organised who was going to buy what, he set them off a lot quicker than Sanjay's hours doing useless research. He kept in touch with the subteam and consulted them on the skeleton decision. His team were singing his praises before the loss was announced.

Agree - his bullshyte will come back to torture him if he makes the interviews.

I think he should have been sacked last night to be honest. I do agree with other posters that Sanjay and Solomon are pretty bad but Daniel is completely and utterly useless. I'm surprised Alan Sugar did not sack him last night given that he has been in the board room 4 times. That alone speaks volumes. He contributes very little to each task. He thinks he is much better than he actually is. Lord Sugar said himself that Daniel is dillusional and yet he's still there.

I like Daniel quite a lot.

Although I think he has performed badly on a lot of the tasks and made some silly mistakes, I like the fact that he shows a lot of passion and enthusiasm in the tasks, and is keen to push himself forward in the tasks rather than hide away. He came across as a good team leader this week. I also think he has been rather good in the boardroom, and I find him quite humorous, particularly when he is paired with Mark.

Obviously he has no chance of winning, he will maybe get to the interviews and be the token candidate for Claude to pull apart. I reckon Alan may be quite nice about his firing, and do it "with regret", he seems to have a soft spot for Daniel.

As for candidates who were worse, I think Michael Sophocles came across as having no good qualities whatsoever. He messed up in nearly every episode, and came across as rather unpleasant too. I also think Helene was terrible, worst finalist ever. Her only good point IMO is that she seemed to interview well, other than that she was a bad team leader and didn't seem to work very hard on other tasks. Sanjay, Stuart, Alex W, Natasha and Adam also deserve a mention as candidates who far outstayed their welcome.

Edit: forgot about "one chicken per pizza" Syed and Sandhurst Ben, add them to the list too.

Daniel was an excellent PM last night, and Felipe made the mistake with the skeleton therefore had to be fired

Credit where credit is due, at least Daniel knew what a Kosher chicken was and didn't start his CV with "I'm a good Jewish boy".
