Gotta say, I don't think anybody in Daniel's team did themselves any favours this week.

They were all patting each other on the back and telling each other how wonderful they were when they thought they'd won and then, when skeletongate arose, they all started backstabbing and trying to shift the blame.

If I was AS, I'd be looking at ALL of them and thinking "Is this somebody I could trust and rely on in a business?"

If it was me, and I'd been involved with that, I think I'd have had to stand behind Daniel and say "Yeah, we all thought it was a good idea at the time and we all thought we were doing the right thing"

The main thing that showed Daniel to be the arsehole that he certainly is was the way he started off thinking he'd been clever and then immediately turned on Felipe and tried to throw him under the bus and then, when AS criticised him for doing that, he did another bloody U-turn and tried to make out that he'd been misled and that he'd do better next time.
Again.

Doesn't anybody in that show have the courage, integrity and dignity to just say "Yeah, I thought I was doing the right thing. If you disagree then I guess I'll have to take responsibility for that"?

Daniel wasn't the only one who turned on Felipe. If Mark and Katie turned any faster they'd be spinning tops. Mark even tried to blatantly concoct a story about ringing back to tell them to buy another skeleton but he was stopped in his tracks in the boardroom and had to acknowledge his attempt to lie.

I don't agree; I don't think any producer would have kept Adam Corbally in for eleven skullcrunching episodes then fired him just shy of the episode where he would have been ripped to shreds.

I think people use the "Oh, it's all rigged" to handwave decisions they don't like. "Lord Sugar agrees with me really, it's just because ENTERTAINMENT!" I think, if anything, he's a little bit too earnest about the process - and he's got a very distinct "type." His tastes in candidates are too clear to just be arbitrary.

I'm certain it was the producers' decision to keep Mark and Daniel on the same team for a month, and to design a task where all the most important decisions would be made by a grumpy team bitter about slumming it in the UK while all their glam mates go off on holiday, but Lord Sugar's choices in the boardroom seem a bit more spontaneous.

Exactly - if it was all on entertainment, James would have lasted to the interviews, and there's no way that Steven and Sarah would have gone out so early either. I think that his 'types' often happen to be the people who make quite decent TV anyway, but there have been many good-TV types who have gone out earlier than they would have done if that was what it was about. I generally see why Lord Sugar has fired someone, even if I don't personally agree with him.

And with regards to the people he keeps in time after time usually being male, the current record-holder for having survived the most boardrooms is a woman (though Daniel will match her if he's in again next week and stays).

He appeared on TV again in another program and made a sexist comment about not respecting women who sleep with him on the first night (he still respects himself presumably). What a knob!

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Naomi Lay from Series 3 yet. She lasted until the tenth task, despite doing absolutely nothing that required any discernible skill, including a disastrous loss as PM in task 3. She was easily much worse than Daniel.

There are so atrocious Jewish candidates who get saves over and over again until it is absolutely imperative for them to get chucked out.

Daniel is this years Jew that will get saved and given chance after chance.
