There was a thread in GD about schools banning the word "banter" as an excuse for treating people like shit. This shows why. people being mean under the guise of banter just looks a bit mean.
Me and my friends have never felt the need to make each other feel bad about themselves so the other feels good.
Jimmy's just reminding us that he is, in fact, a complete bellend...just in case anyone had started to think that he's maybe ok.

Banter is alright if both participants know its only joking,, but at one stage Jake looked like he didnt know if Jimmy was joking or not

I have some great friends including my work colleagues, we have great banter as I've known them a good while, I'd not do it on camera though. That wasn't nice Rhumble, it was witchy and below the belt
I've worked in an environment where that goes on day in day out, it's fun, no-one takes it seriously.
I don't like the way that Jimmy keeps saying "it's just a bit of banter" and then "oh you know, he's me mate".... he is not coming across well at all

yeah i was being sarky about what banter is,, ribbing your friends is one thing but this banter thing just seems like you can be as nasty as you like and call it banter

Oh no, the occasional joke with friends is fine, but day in day out? I couldn't be doing with the stress of having to be 'switched on' to the 'bantz' all day.
I'd end up dreading going to work in an environment like that.
