Especially when the audience isn't sure whether he meant it or not. I could imagine Jimmy thinking when Jake came in "who is he? he's got no talent, he's not a celeb WTF is he doing here?"... pretty much what he said tonight but disquised as banter"
You have to look at body language and clearly Jake was unhappy as Jimmy went on, if it was banter anyone with half a brain would have known to stop, Jimmy was purely trying to wear him down and for me that is 'bullying'

He meant it, he hit Jake where it hurts and that's not banter.

I think you could see in his face he was hurt that someone he thought of as a mate was saying those things.

I just said that rhumble, the girls don't get it.....
I think rhumble was being ironic, mrb. You need to listen to the sub text there. It wasn't 'bantah' but something much nastier.

I've worked in an environment where that goes on day in day out, it's fun, no-one takes it seriously.
Maybe they do take it seriously, or maybe it's not the same. Either way, it's bullying.

Seems we have two show threads tonight, hopefully some mergeage incoming very soon
Just noticed the merge, and good there has been one, as Doc gets a chance to prosper

He was clearly trying to put Jake down and prove something. But I think that has cost him the competition and put Jake ahead.

Jake smiled right through what Jimmy said, so he wasn't taking it seriously. If he had looked glum, then that would have been a different matter. Jake can always be asked how he felt, when he leaves IAC, as that's the only way we'd know with any certainty.

Your quite right, if I recall right Jake was reaching for his arms and such, you tend to do that when your anxious.

Really? To me Jake looked very uncomfortable and even muttered something along the lines of 'You've gone a bit far' before later saying he was just pretending like he was p****d off. I think he just didn't want to show that it bothered him.

I was glued to it......I was waiting for Michael to interject because he was in such close proximity I can't believe he didn't hear Jimmy's objection to being compared to him....

however, I didn't pick up on the above - I got the distinct feeling that when it started Jake was trying to laugh it off thinking Jimmy was just having a bit of a joke, but I began to feel very uncomfortable as you could see the realisation on Jake's face that Jimmy was deadly serious. Jimmy came across as an idiot and Jake maintained some dignity. I don't think he will say too much when he comes out - will probably try to adopt the banter line.....but Jimmy over stepped the mark, the younger man was the wiser and calmer man, but I think was taken aback by it all.
