BIB - Well, yes, but in context - Those people will not be watching IAC, so I meant who among the British IAC audience did she think she was addressing?

I don't think she thought that far out of her bubble tbh. She just saw the opportunity as it was quiet to have some "me" time and sympathy from the other campmates. I also get the impression she doesn't want to win (or understands that she won't), her life story is now wrapped up until next April, so what has she left to talk about?

I'm not sure that there is a difference. From what I know (and it's not much) it's just that her everyday life is being filmed. So seems to me, that is her real life.”

What is? That she doesn't find out of her husband cheated on her until it's shown on a TV show in April?

Is her whole life a TV show? What the hell was she whinging about, including the tears, of course?

I've never heard such a confusing mixture of total crap.

I got the impression that a fair few of the campmates shared your opinion.

I'm completely bamboozled. She looked like she won't know the truth herself until April?

Jeez is this what her chosen career does to a person? Worrying.

No thanks, I'd sooner stick pins in my eyes.

You know, you're right. I can't think of a single person on here who doesn't wish they could be one of a harem of 'girlfriends' who get chosen to have sex with an octogenarian on a rota basis.
I'm also jealous as you like that my husband has never cheated on me with a transvestite and that my every waking hour isn't captured on camera to the point I can't separate real life from a script.

Green with envy doesn't come close and I think I speak for us all

Exactly, she is a reality star, its all about the show.

"Everyone was saying that my husband was cheating on me! It was so hard!"

"So...was he?"

"You'll have to find out in April...."

That really isn't how normal conversation goes....”

It was one of the more bizzare diatribes in the history of RTV, to be honest. I cottoned on fairly early in her little anecdote that she was in full self-promotion mode. The cliff-hanger ending was absolutely jaw droppingly awful.

Ah, the 'jellus' card. I know 'pathetic' is a word that has somewhat lost its original meaning in modern parlance, but Kendra is truly pathetic. I feel a bit sorry for her, but my sympathy is losing the battle against irritation and disdain, I'm afraid.

She was definitely just plugging her reality tv series to us. Not interested. Thank you.

Well, the top rated of her shows this season (1.6 million) looks to have been about .005% of the population watching. So, we're not talking a huge percentage of the population. The UK would be an audience of about 300,000.

QUOTE=nats18;75831106]Watched last night i get the impression she thinks of herself as a character Imean in her conversation she had lines like so it aired like....[/quote]
He, I'm American, and I hate the "like" ... it's more typical, I think of young women from Southern California. Thankfully.

But I find equally irritating various overused British phrases like, "I'm not being funny but ..."

Yes, good comparison. Madonna's life at the time was a kind of precursor of modern scripted reality. I'm sure Madonna wouldn't be flattered by the comparison, but I think Katie Price's life is along those lines. It is almost impossible to imagine her having relationship uncontaminated by media sales possibilities.

Liz Jones is a bit of a print version. (Apart from the fact that her biggest, most glamorous relationship appeared to be entirely fabricated.) I couldn't count the number of times she has written that some man desperately in love with her (and aren't they all?) has begged her not to write about him, but still he hangs around for more.

I'm not sure your reasoning here helps your view at all. Kendra is very pretty, not that I think people pointing out her embarrassing cliff hanger anecdote are doing so out of jealousy for her prettiness.

No! Really!
Makes good telly in Kendra's world and that's all that counts”

And if you google a bit more you'll find that the whole thing was a publicity stunt for the show they do. Obviously their "real" lives aren't interesting enough so they're obliged to invent stories.

Do you think she ever knew what it was in the first place because I don't and I would tend to agree with you in that I don't think that the Jungle is the right place for her. She seems to be worsening by the day.

Neither does spilling bile about someone day after day that they are supposed not to like that many people seem to do. If I disliked someone so badly I would not waste my time on them I would find better things to do with my time IMO some people appear to get a kick out of being nasty which I find a little pathetic.

Yet not for the first time you have time to waste time and have nothing better to do than attack your fellow FM's. That's perfectly ok is it?

We are here to discuss the camp mates not each other.

I've watched it again and the other campmates seemed so upset that she wouldn't know if her husband had cheated on her until April. She was actually crying about it. What is going on with this woman, is her married life lived through a reality show? That was certainly the way it came across.

She's not all there is she, if she believes the truth isn't available? The others fell for her sob story too, it's all nuts. Certainly a first, even for this show.
