When I saw the previews tonight, I automatically assumed that Jake was in the wrong, and he probably went too far in saying something really inappropriate. What I saw was an emotional man who could dish it, but not take it.

He showed how insecure he was by the blatant insults, it was uncomfortable.

I don't think it was bullying, i think in Jimmys mind he was having banter and not being malicious, but at one stage it did look like Jake had got confused as to whether Jimmy was joking or not, and i think if your friend can't tell if you are joking or not, then you have gone too far. I think this will cost Jimmy winning tbh though

I'm not a fan of Jake at all but I think Bullard did push it a bit far. The thing with the word "banter" is that people use it as an excuse for being an arsehole, and it seemed like Bullard was doing that.

'Banter' is a really annoying term to allow people to be nasty to each other. They have known each other about a week, different if it's long term mates. Was Jake saying he'd have clobbered Jimmy on the outside 'banter' too? Didn't sound like it.

Maybe I need to re-define banter for myself because what I saw last night (edited or not) was so uncomfortable. I've never talked like that with friends. Jimmy was praying on Jake's weaknesses and insecurities about himself and that is cruel. I'm not really a Jimmy fan as I find him tedious and he is such a screamer his trials...so what does HE really offer camp???

It's a shame that others just stood back and watched. I wish someone could have at least said "now, now boys, play nicely .." Or something to zap that thick atmosphere that developed. Jimmy has shown now that he has been play acting his "chap of the people" image, he has a really nasty personality inside. Yes, Jake came in to camp a bit OTT, but he has not personally attacked someone and said " yeah, what I said hurt, didn't it? I can see it in your eyes" what a real g!t Jimmy is! Why put another person through that experience?? I really hope he doesn't win.

Jimmys tirade was absolutely awful!

He was one of the celebs I hadn't heard of before the show (the others being Nadia and Tinchy) whereas I HAD heard of Jake as I'd seen him on the Xfactor both years he was on. With your average football loathing middle age woman, I'd hazard a guess that Jake with his recent appearance on the finals of a prime time TV show is arguably more famous at the moment than Jimmy, (a second rate footballer) ever was during his career..

Why is Jake there? Because the producers saw the absence of a bit of male eye candy in the line up, and Jakes early exit from X factor provided a personable fit young man who fits that requirement (I put Nadia in the same category for the females).

Jake could have a career in music now that he has had the exposure on TV, his voice isn't that bad, and he got pretty far in the Xfactor both times he entered - and arguably should have made the finals over Rylan the first time. This year he was unlucky, and the victim of a producer stitch up as he wasn't their "chosen one". Given that he was probably offered silly money for a youngish unemployed bloke to go in the jungle, he would have been mad not to take it! Let's face face it Jimmy is jealous that Jake is probably at the start of a career in the limelight whilst he himself is at the end of his!

I haven't taken to Jimmy at all - his camera hogging is a bit desperate, and the unwavering support of Swash and Beckett isn't doing him many favours either. I really hope he is first out tomorrow - horrible little

I've seen and heard Jimmy on quite a few TV and radio programmes before this series and his behaviour really comes as no surprise. He was an annoying little twerp throughout his football career too, one of those players you love to hate.

He has such a high opinion of himself and seems to think hes hysterically funny.

As soon as he was announced as going in this year I had a bad feeling. He's the reason I've not really watched very much this year.

Jake and Edwina have established a bond from coming in together.

In all the episodes I have seen (I don't bother with the other shows, just the ITV programme) Jake has not put a foot wrong......even confessing to peeing and going and dowsing it down kind of enamoured him to me!!

I think Jimmy has done Jake a huge favour......Mark Wright style. Jake said during their argument "who am I? I'm not denying it" or words to that effect but that was the jist......well I think he comes across with a great "presenting" potential. He is pleasing on the eye, even for an old bird like me, and can communicate clearly and effectively and has shown his ability to interact with all the camp-mates.

He will do well out of it, perhaps not in a musical way, but this isn't the last we will see of Jake. I hope it is the last we see of Jimmy tho!!

Well, looking online and betting odds, last night was a pivotal night for changes. The odds have changed drastically for some.

Jake has overtaken Jimmy to be the favourite to win now, and Jimmy has fallen on Betfair from 1.84 to 3.6.

Some whose chance become much greater to win...
Michael who was at 85/1 and now is at 12/1. Carl who was at 46/1 and now at 15/1, Edwina who was at a very distant 110/1 and now is at 19/1

Less chance to win. Tinchy was at 55/1 and now at 120/1.

Speaking as one who detests the overuse of the word 'bullying' or people who take offence and make a huge drama on social media whenever someone makes a joke or there is a bit of banter (which I think happens far too much these days).....Jimmys outburst does not fit into that category in any shape or form.

This is one case where it was clearly not 'banter'...there was no humour involved, it was personal insult said in a way that told Jake he meant what he said. I'm not a Jake fan, and whether it was to look good for the sake of the camera or not, I think he did remarkably well not to get angry, and even better to have appeared to have let it go.

I do remember one of Jimmys friends being interviewed and when he was asked if he was really proud of Jimmy and loved watching him on TV, he replied that he was more worried watching it because although hes funny, hes capable of anything and he wasn't sure what was going to come up next. One thing Jimmy is doing is being 'himself'...but hes showing a side that isn't very nice.

Jimmy is very manipulative he managed to tame Foggy and thought he had the title in the bag now he has resorted to been nasty to Jake big time over jealousy.

It was not the exchange that got me it is how he came over later almost twisting the knife I upset it bothered you etc. It was almost like he was celebrating victory and then to exclaim it as banter I hope he goes as soon as possible.

I did think that Jimmy was a contender until last night. It wasn't banter and he blew his chances of winning within a very short time. It was nasty and vindictive.

There is nothing worse than people who say or do hurtful things then excuse their behaviour with

'Im only joking' or 'Its only banter'

they know exactly what they are doing and think that the excuse of 'banter' or 'joking' lets them off with mental bullying and emotional abuse

I have gone through it and I recognise that is what Jimmy is doing
