"Opa".

But not "Opa Gangnam Style". That is from another country.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opa_%28dance%29

Quote:
“Opa (dance) (Greek: ώπα), is an expression and dance of the Greek emotion, used inside the Greek traditional dances. Opa is also a knowable Greek phrase, worldwide. It usually accompanied, by breaking dishes and clapping while people dancing, enclosing the Greek culture.”

Better not give the Greeks the Elgin Marbles. They'll just shout "Opa" and smash them.

I think perhaps it is less the "Opa" that frightens dogs. It is just that their subconscious associates "Opa" with smashing plates. So forget about the "Opa" and just smash plates.
