Can I ask, what would you have done in Jake's place?

Well at least we know the truth about Jimmy now....he's a nasty piece of work.”

Jake is not known by millions, that is nonsense. If you asked most Premier league fans in England, they would know who Jimmy Bullard is.

An ex Premier league footballer that isn't a coach a manager a pundit a plasterer or a brickie, is probably unemployed. What is he?

Well Simon Cowell did say something right last night about people just wanting to use the show to be famous, regardless if it's to do with singing.

Which is what Jake has done. Fair play, he has taken the money but he has no intention of working as a singer.

I'm sure he is fine. At least he got famous for a genuine talent.

I am sure he is fine too but not so fine he doesn't need to be on IAC.

That's the thing with bullies, they always know who to single out for abuse, he wouldn't have done it to Edwina (not that I'm her biggest fan), in fact he wouldn't have done it if Edwina had been there.

Over 7 million people watch the X Factor. Therefore Jake is known by millions of people. Jimmy is known by supporters of Wigan and Hull

In my opinion its the ITV producers who have messed up a bit. A bit desperate, surely they could have got someone more famous!”

He probably is but what Jimmy said was true, even if it was crossing the line a bit. Jake has also been a bit false to me in recent episodes, well mostly since he arrived.

That doesn't answer my question.

But he created no impact. He wasn't a Wagner or Rylan and is infamous from the show. He was just another in and out contestant, cannon fodder.

I don't watch X factor but yes Jake has to be better known through that alone.

I've never heard of Jimmy and know nothing about football. Was he a good player?

Jimmy shot himself in the foot. He went from hero to zero in 1 minute. When he watches it back on da big screen, he can reflect on it for the rest of his life.

What do you mean though? About going in or his "banter" with Jimmy? I would have went in, not having a go at him for that.

We will see, you could be right. But I'm not a big fan of him anyway, I find him trying too hard. Same with Jake.

You said you thought the truth hurt. I saw him behaving like an adult when being childishly and cruelly attacked.

How would you have reacted to Jimmy?

I think he could have won, now I am sure he won't.

I have been wrong before.

I would have give it back, I'm sure he did too. He wasn't really "attacked", just a bit harsh but I still think it was true what he said about being in the jungle.

I got to be honest, Jake went up in my estimation yesterday. He could easily have reacted in a childish and nasty way to jimmy, but he didn't. He was clearly hurt but didn't go off and sulk either. He maintained his dignity and was mature. A lot to be said for that.

Well, firstly I think age has something to do with it given it was an inference that Jimmy's body could be mistaken for that of an old man that kicked it all off in the first place. Whoever Jimmy was (and I'd never heard of him) he is way past his sell by date whereas Jake is in his prime physically and definitely getting the girls' attention. Jake was impressive in his trial, just the sort of alpha male one needs in the jungle as well as being a nice bloke and likeable, he certainly isn't the arrogant muscle man Jimmy perceives him to be. All of these traits would trigger Jimmy's insecurities and cause him to go on the attack.

Not at all. Jake was a finalist and appeared on the live shows. He has appeared on IAC so quickly after he left that any cross over audience will certainly know him. You said that he wasn't known by millions but over 7 million people watched the X Factor and definitely know him.

Jimmy was an average player. Hull and Wigan were Premier league but they aren't Chelsea or Man Utd obviously

In this case truth is only in the perception . Jake perceived himself as "not a celebrity" before Jimmy said it. Jimmy seized on what he saw as a weakness and used it against Jake and that is very hurtful. When you've revealed an insecurity to people in good faith and they turn it on you, it's a bit like a betrayal of trust.

From my perspective, Jake is more famous than Jimmy (therefore true for me) because I have absolutely no interest in football.

My husband has had Banter with Bullard and said that he (Jimmy) didn't really join in with it when they were 'ribbing the f@@k' out of each other. However, footballers do have 'banter' it's harmless. And Jimmy wouldn't have liked to be compared to an old man. So he gave it back in banter. It's all about the bants these days.

Banter isn't banter when it's abuse and is clearly upsetting the person on the receiving end.

So Jake can't handle a bit of banter. Not Jimmy's problem.
