Jake admitted it didn't bother him when he was in the bush telegraph. Besides he compared Jimmy to an old man and called him Mr Burns then said if they were outside he would have knocked him out. Jake has been a creep in there with the girls.

It clearly bothered him. You only have to see his reaction at the time.

In the Bush Telegraph he was probably putting on a brave face.

If the vast majority of people watching regarded it as abusive, and the other celebs, when they discussed it, all saw it as abuse, then the word "banter" makes a mockery of the truth.

I think people are getting their knickers in a twist and jumping on the bandwagon.

I don't think it's Jake who's making a fuss, it's the viewers.

Jake has let down everyone who actually voted for his crap singing on X factor. Rather than trying to get a record deal an carry on with his singing he seeks fame and fortune by just taking his kit off

I think people are intelligent enough to make up their own minds.

If a lot of people agree it simply means they recognise the same thing.

I hope not. A person could have a nasty fall doing that.

I know I was saving up to buy his first single too.

Yeah coz singers can't be sex symbols or be on tv shows. It's against the rules.

There is no-one here who speaks the "truth" on a constant basis and there is a significant difference between requesting information pertaining to ones wellbeing (in the case of the innappropriate doctor example) and a person going out of their way to demonstrate complete lack of common courtesy.

The latter folk don't tend to fare well in life - if at all.

Surely the exchange of the day.

In a programme won by popularity, and which Jimmy would obviously very much like to win, I think you might find that it IS his problem.

If you thought his singing was crap, why did you vote for him? And if you didn't vote for him, what makes you think you can speak for those who did? They might have voted for him in the hope of seeing more of his body.

I like both Jake and Jimmy ,and think they both gave as good as each other ,Jake couldn't have been that bothered anyway as he referred to Jimmy and Carl being his two best friends in there in tonights show

That was one of the most accurate things said in the whole exchange.

There's not a lot of difference between his body and Michaels.

The only ironic amusement was looking at the weedy specimen with his tatty long grey hair and thinking of his squawking cowardice in trials.

Jake has had 2 chances at X Factor, and I think has got enough common sense to realise that he probably cannot make it. Yes he can do odd gigs and appearances, and these would be enhanced by his appearance etc. However the chance of being in I'm a Celebrity came his way and he jumped at it. Just as Rylan used Celebrity Big Brother, so Jake hopes to build on his success in the jungle. No one can blame him, he is young and looking towards his future.

Going by the reaction of Jake, the truth did hurt.”

Maybe the truth did hurt but then again I hadn't heard of Bullard until he was in this programme so levels of fame are pretty much subjective in this case and you could also ask if the truth hurt Jimmy in that his physique was mistaken for that of a man many years older then himself. The truth is Jimmy's physique is poor especially for a sportsman and its clearly a sore point for him.

Exactly, he is no match for Jake. Quite honestly one would not expect it to be. Jimmy is just vane and not accepted the age he is. Woe betide him when he gets older still!!!!!

Jake had a TV music show and had done modelling before this years X Factor. He may get a record deal off the back of this. So actually he hasn't let anyone down.

Same. I'd only heard of Jake because of the X Factor pages they tend to have in the Sunday papers each week during the show - in other words I recognised the name and face from the headlines without having read the actual articles.

Isn't the point that they are all famous within their fields? If you are a football fan, especially of the clubs Jimmy played for, he is likely to be the biggest star in there for you. 2 years ago, Helen and Colin were for as i'm a huge Doctor Who and Corrie fan but I imagine most others would have rated others higher.

The casting people select from a wide range of different areas to try and appeal to as many viewers as possible - hopefully they'll be one or two campmate in there that everybody knows and are interested in at the start, they get to know others later.

So, really, nobody is 'more' famous or 'more' deserving of their place.

I'd say the really, really famous are people known outside of their field, an Champion you know even if you don't like Sports and didn't see them win or a TV star whose name you know even if you don't watch their show. I'd say most people knew who Larry Hagman and JR Ewing were even if they'd never watched Dallas or Jessica Ennis for example.

But it is rare you get people of that ilk in the Jungle. It has happened but it is rare.

So, really Jimmy had no right to make that judgement about Jake or anybody else. Frankly the millions that watch X Factor this year knew who Jake was.

But the point is the intent, it seemed to be done to hurt which isn't 'telling it like it is' but just cruel. For it To come from someone Jake had clearly considered a friend makes it much worse.

I think it would only be worth doing the show for a million.

'The truth hurts' is one of those sayings nasty people use to get away with being nasty.

It's used by people like Katie Hopkins. It's used by the same people who begin their sentences with :No offence but...

In other words ignorant people who want to be abusive and think that everyone right minded feels the same way because they don't care that objectivity and subjectivity are not the same thing.
