I have been reading through some threads regarding the audition process, well I can let you into a secret...

If you have received a letter from Edomel with a consent form asking for a copy of your medical records you will be through to the next level of auditions.

Don't worry about getting a call, this will happen once they are sure you have told them the truth on your application form.

but didnt everyone get a consent form? wasnt this given at the stage after the diary room? how do you know this?

hmm interesting ...
So, we should be waiting for a letter then?
Nottsguy did you go to the BB6 auditions and have you got a letter then?

Was it last year or this year?
Do they really want to have 100+ consent forms before they do their final selection? Is it necessary?

Enlighten us!!!

there's no way they'd send a letter in the post, for security reasons it could get intercepted. I think we were already given the consent form after the diary room stage. I signed one already, didnt anyone else??

If you completed the application form you would have signed it!
smartgirl

well no because there was a separate form with the application form asking for consent
Valentino

I remember signing something but that could have been the disclosure agreeemnt (not to speak or tell anybody about the process), which I guess we've already broken!

We need more info. from Notssguy but worthy check the post just in case ...

Valentino

I doubt it as it would be more than his job is worth to provide such info.

Lets wait to hear more from Nottsguy.

All,

Yes you are correct about the application form, this does not give them the right to obtain your medical records. For the record, it is not me who went to the audition, it was a family member, he/she has recived a letter from edemol clearly stating this form is to obtain your medical records, it also included a SASE. It also also read that should you not hear from us by the April 7th you would not be invited to the second audtion process.

It's so exciting!

Why should they need open access to your medical records? What's that got to do with anything?

Thought I was in the '<<insert name here>> appreciation' thread for a sec then.

Probably to make sure you are sane, or on reflection, probably to make sure you're not

Approx how long did your friend have to wait before he/she received the letter. i take it you went to one of the auditions up north being from notts? It would be helpful if you could say, as I wanna know whether to give up or not. Im still really confused thought, cos i was sure i already signed this consent form!!!

The audition was at Birmingham, 26th February, the letter arrived on 9th March, I have asked the person concerned, they have seid that they did not sign any such form, was it overlooked at the audition?

It's over to you smartgirl

hmmm interesting that they sent your friend an acceptance letter on the 9th which is when they were holding the next stage of auditions which is weird that they are letting people through to the next stage before they have seen the others! thanks for the info nottsguy

Smartgirl,

Putting aside whether you got a letter or not, I think we can assume now that if we do not hear by *7th April* then we are definately out of the game.

This the cut of date for the second round.

Thx. Nottsguy.

I wish they would put us out of our misery, It crazy, when ever the phone rings, or the postman arrives I am straight there!

All we can do now is sit and wait... Does anyone know how many got through the first stage of the audition?
Valentino

I guess that they already made a pre-selection at each location from the number of people that got to stage II.

For example, they may of took the top 20 max . If that is the case then we could assume they have approx. 180 candidates. These are the people who would have recieved a medical consent form (assuming it wasn't just overlooked at Birmingham).

The will probably now reduce to approx. 100.

If my guess it correct then there MUST be others reading this who have also recieved a letter - PLEASE LET US KNOW!!!

Nottsguy: at least your family member is one step further then the rest of us!!!

By first stage do you meant the next stage after the diary room? How many stages are there?
Valentino
24-03-2005
The stage after the 1 min. diary room is classed as Stage II (part 1 and part 2).

We don't know how many stages there are in total.
smartgirl

i was told that after this stage the next stages involve meetings with the producers and also psychological and medical examinations. Jon Tickle said some of it involved going out with some of the producers whilst a pschologist would take note of his behaviour.

What for a change They normally are pretty young. It's time they brought a bigger range of ages in.

My guess is it will be its usual format of young people with the odd older man ie ahmed, stewart, sandy
