Hello all.

We're big cycling nuts, and have long followed the pro cycling on Eurosport. Over the weekend we bought a Samsung Smart HD LED TV from Currys (model LT27D390SW/XU, link here).

A big selling point was the Smart Hub and the apps available. We were assured the Eurosport Player would be in there, and indeed so it is listed on the Samsung website.

But installing the TV, the app can't be found anywhere in the Smart Hub App Store. Is the app no longer available on Samsung Smart TVs? Or is it only available on some models? And if so, which ones?

Your TV is not one of those series so it is quite possible it is not available for your TV. And it may be significant that it says for 2012 and 2013 models. Bearing in mind it's 2014.

So it could be an old app that is no longer available for any model but just hasn't been removed yet from the website. And there is this...

Thanks both. That's disappointing, as it suggests Eurosport aren't keeping their app up to date.

I've contacted Eurosport technical support and will report back what they say here.

Frankly the range of apps available on this tv is pretty disappointing. It's a good TV, good price but lacking in apps.

That may be because it is a PC monitor with a TV tuner rather than an out and out TV. It comes under PC Peripherals/Monitors on the Samsung website after all
