The problem with banter is that it always gets heavier and nastier and usually ends in a fight. When friends do it, they usually know each others limits, but even then sometimes it gets out of hand especially when others join in with the OHHH, that's below the belt, then it ends in fisty cuffs. The problem Jimmy had was he left himself open to interpretation, was it really banter, or was he just saying what he was really thinking.
