I can't directly compare the two, but I do own the Samsung, and I certainly don't think you'd be disappointed with it. It ditches all the "bells & whistles" keeping the price nice and low while still delivering a picture quality which is, in my opinion, damn impressive for the price tag.

Just seen a review of that model of Samsung TV on The Gadget Show and they gave it a rating of 4 out of 5.

They also had an LG, but it was a different model (32LB580V) and that got a rating of 3 out of 5.
