Kian calls it - definitely wasn't banter

On ITV this morning, last years King of The Jungle Kian Egan was talking about the Bullard/Jake argument. He said Bullard went too far, and it wasn't banter. It was unpleasant. Presenters Scholfield and Holden agreed although Scholfield played devils advocate and said there something might have happened beforehand that led up to the incident.
Kian rejected this tho. He said the producers would have shown that, if it was the case.

Its fair to say Kian knows quite a lot about this show and how it works. He's also a decent lad (as proven by the public vote). His views are to be taken seriously. Unlike the Katie Hopkins-es of this world.

In a frank discussion with the rest of the celebrities on Saturday night's episode, Jake gathered their tips and advice on how he could build his career.

While Jimmy and Jake’s playful banter had been keeping their campmates amused over previous days, Jimmy appeared to go a bit far when he criticised the singing hopeful’s talent.

His fellow campmates were confused as to whether or not he was joking as Jake explained: ‘This morning me and Jim had a bit of banter.

Just banter: But it seems Jimmy Bullard did not pay attention of Jake's sensitivity about the matter as he went on to mock Jake in a tense exchange

‘Vicki came in and Michael was lying on a bed and she thought it was Jimmy so I was like whay-hay, Jimmy, Vicki thought you was Michael. You must have the same body. And he didn’t really like it!’.

Jimmy reacted with an expletive riddled rant as the pair began to have what look like the beginning of a tiff.
Jake wound Jimmy up whilst laughing as he said: 'You can’t take it, can you

Jimmy snapped: 'What have I got to take? That I look like him? I don’t give a f***. Just because I’m the governor at Banter. You just get hurt you lanky piece of s***'.

Jake continued to goad: 'You bite so quick. You don’t come back with anything. You get nasty. You get nasty, don’t you? It don’t matter. I understand, it’s fine.'

'I miss the old Jim that you was when I first came in. The nice guy who was funny. Not the annoying p****.'
Harsh: Jimmy said, 'You weren’t (entertaining) on The X Factor, that’s for sure. I thought you had a bit about you but the more I’m getting to know you, the more I’m just thinking, "what the f*** is this p**** doing in here
Jimmy replied: 'I can’t be your entertainment all the time. You can’t rely on me. You’ve got to entertain yourself because you banter’s sh*te.'
He then pushed further: 'You weren’t (entertaining) on The X Factor, that’s for sure. I thought you had a bit about you but the more I’m getting to know you, the more I’m just thinking, "what the f*** is this pr*** doing in here? What’s he offering?"
'Why the f**k are you in here? What are you? What sort of skill have you got?'

Whatever: Jake calmly defended himself as he said, 'I said that when I came in. I don’t even know why I’m here myself. You Mr Burns looking *****
Jimmy looked towards Foggy saying: 'World champ, fair enough, what the f*** have you done? Picked a mic up?'.
And Jimmy later said: ‘Me and Jake always have banter. It’s devilish banter
Jimmy admitted he might have gone too far as he told the cameras, 'You’ve got to be careful because if I go over the top and that he could flip and he’s my mate, do you know what I mean
Later when Jimmy and Jake were chatting, Jimmy took the opportunity to smooth things out with his friend Jake and apologise.
‘It’s like the survival of the toughest, you know what I mean, but I got brought up by a bunch of animals that I can’t be beaten so I just let him have it.’
Jake added: ‘It’s funny. It’s good to have guys in the camp that can take a bit of banter and can give it out as well, so I pretended I was p*ssed off and I pretended that I was annoyed but at the end of the day I wasn’t even bothered.’

Jimmy knew he went to far hence the apology and keeping his head down the following morning ,Jimmy did tell us that he was just giving the campmates a lie in ...sure .

I don't think Jake goaded him. He said he bites quick because he flipped rather than retaliating with playful banter. Seemed like his way of saying "calm down, its a joke"

True I had to laugh when he said the producers would have shown anything Jake could have said also...hmmmmm maybe the OP does not realise they can edit whatever way they want, and show what they want.....lets be honest ITV1-2 love the chavvy type people (Towie lot especially) the cynic in me makes me wonder if the "classy" ITVBE channel have something lined up for Jake after the show.......Kian knows what side his bread is buttered on he is never off ITV....

That's the only entertaining thing that Jake has said so far this series! I think I started to like him a little after that comment! On the whole though - he is boring. In his own way he's just as tedious as Jimmy!

And now another boring person comments on it ... step forward Kian!

It's a dire line up this year for sure .Jimmy/Jake are the two I disliked the most prior and up to the "banter" .

I think I agree with you!

I loved Foggy snitching on Jimmy before though saying 'he screeched like a banshee!'

Great minds think alike That is exactly what I've been saying. Someone in the ITV world obviously has ideas for Jake and ITVChav would be where I expect him to pop up very soon.

The even bigger cynic in me thinks this split from his gf has him lined up for a high profile fauxmance. Amy Childs, Sam Fairs - someone of that ilk. Or maybe he could be the 45th Mr Price

Jimmy thought he was being clever by making over the top nasty comments to Jake, but then realised he'd went too far when none of the other campmates were reacting in the way he wanted. Basically, trying to get a laugh at Jake's expense by making really nasty comments totally backfired on Jimmy.
