She killed her. I'm first to say it.

I'll bump this thread to claim my points in Feb.

I hope it's Ian... That would be SHOCKING!

Jane is a good choice, but I hope she don't go to prison for it, if it's a big character, I hope they don't go to prison, but I don't think they will anyway.

It's definitely one of the relatives rather than an outsider.

That will probably be the shocker at Christmas where the suspect list is narrowed down to the Beale family themselves (Ian, Jane, Peter, Cindy).

Well i think its now Denise, she found it. i think there using abit of reverse psycology. Because she found it, people will assume she didnt do it. Also jane sounded like she wanted to go and sort it, and she could face a woman, hence the reason why she said to ian, il go and sort it. She has been nicking from the shop for money, So my instincts are on Denise.

Also its abit funny, about the council letter that come aswell, about the allotment, when patrick said, i want to keep it, she tried to tell him, him no dont bother. Was that because the evidence she put there she didnt want to go back to it?

Erm no as Jay was the one who buried the evidence in the allotment.

Except the purse and mobile are a separate thread from Lucy's death and we already know they were buried by Jay and Ben.

The Council would reassign it meaning that it would be more likely to be dug up and the evidence found by someone new. If she were involved and knew evidence was there it would make more sense for her to keep the allotment in her family.

Plus as Scrabbler said, we saw Jay bury the purse and phone. Even if she were involved in the killing (which I don't think she was) she didn't know what had happened to Lucy's things.

If an allotment is not looked after it gets taken off you and I got the impression Patrick doesn't want to lose it but Denise thinks it's too much hassle especially as they don't know how long Patrick will be like he is. I am surprised they have written that letter though especially as everyone is preparing their plots for winter and not much is going on, his plot didn't even look that bad, mine looks worse at the moment as it is covered in tarpaulin as we are trying to kill all the weeds off before we start building the raised beds ready to plant in the spring.

I don't think it's Jane.

I think it was someone who saw Peter give Lucy the drugs. Someone who then thought that robbing Lucy would be easier than robbing Peter so they followed her until she was alone and attacked her. Being feisty, Lucy fought back and the killer ended up whacking her over the head once Lucy realised who it was.

So, the mugger-turned-killer, didn't mean to kill her but did and took the drugs and ran.

Peter inadvertently had Lucy killed because he gave her the drugs.

Someone like Whitney perhaps...

I dont think its Jane either but Im liking your theory

Not sure its Whitney tho........... wouldnt it need to be someone who was into drugs for them to take the drugs because surely if they werent into drugs they wouldnt take them

Unless Whitney is taking drugs and we dont know about it

Nick Cotton springs to mind as a druggie

Roxie? She has been known to dabble in drugs...........

BIB - thanks!

I just thought Whitney because she hasn't been in it much over the last few months and EE are doing such a good job at drip feeding us information, it could be that Whitney was/is into drugs but hiding it from her family? Perhaps her way of coping with her (then) on/off relationship with Lee and Carol's illness?

it would certainly make sense for Whitney to also be a drug user, after all, in her short life she has been through alot! Drugs are often (guessing here) a 'turn too' coping mechanism to make life a little easier (or so the user tends to think) so Whitney would fit the bill - so to speak

Exactly. That is what i took it to mean. Patrick sees the allotment as a symbol of his old life and something he wants to get back - it represents hope so doesn't want to let it go. Denise is being more pragmatic or realistic and know it will take months or years for Patrick to be weel enough to look after it again and it might never happen. In the meantime it is extra work for her to keep it tended to when she is already run ragged with her job and caring for Patrick so wpuld rather let it go.

Pure practical considerations, nothing to do with knowing evidence was buried there.

If you re-watch the Good Friday episode, at the start of it Jane and Ian are still in shock over discovering the coke in Lucy's bag, and Jane says to Ian 'Don't worry, we'll sort it, I promise', and then never shares a scene with Ian or Lucy throughout the rest of the episode, which for me could potentially be a clue. Maybe she went to find Lucy off-screen to 'sort it'...which resulted in Lucy dying

You are about to make yourself look a bit silly with this bump, they said there is another twist which pretty much means it was not Jane.
