Why not get a hdmi switch? Then you can have multiple hdmi devices into one port, you can even get them off Ebay that have a remote if your hdmi socket is in a hard to reach place.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-Input-Sw...-/201344256618 Bog standard manual switch. £3.15 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-WAY-INPU...-/400939615779 Hdmi Switch with remote. £3.48 Love the idea of these, especially the one with remote as hdmi port in really awkward place. Only issue with that one is it says doesn't support sky box. |

If your Sky+HD box supports this, can you go to SETTINGS > PICTURE and turn "HDMI Control" to off. Does this make a difference at all? Quote:
Does your HDMI switch have its own power supply? Switches which rely on power provided by the equipment connected to them rarely work with Sky boxes.

I'm hoping someone can help me
I was contemplating getting a smart tv upstairs for my bedroom but then came across all these media sticks like Roku/chromecast etc. The only thing I want is to be able to get on a web browser and watch movies/tv series on movietube. Can anyone advise me which media stick would be best for this, or even better if anyone can tell me they are able to watch movietube on their media stick. Thanks for any help/advice |

This could be related to the question over its legality. I have no idea myself as I haven't checked, but I'm seeing alarm bells going off. I could be wrong, but... those bells are still ringing... |

I don't think you were specifically being ignored, it could be that almost no one has heard movietube. This thing is about as invisible as a streaming service can be. There isn't even a Wikipedia page about it.

Understood mate I got my answer in the gaming forum. I should have just asked does chromecast have a web browser that you could visit websites with a flash player |

I do, but I'm currently using my PS4 downstairs to watch the movies and it isnt too bad, unfortunately I don't have space for it upstairs so was looking for a simpler/cheaper solution rather than upgrade my tv to a smart tv

This is pretty cool if you've got one - google have released an ethernet adaptor for it in the states to turn it in to a wired connection.

BT are really crap when it comes to getting their service. All these hoops you have to jump through, which usually means subscribing to one of their other services like broadband.
You would think with so much going OTT these days, BT would be wise to start making sure they get their foothold in. |

^^year, but they could still offer a full OTT service at a price that doesn't cannibalise their other options - or choose the one that sells the best.
Today, people want OTT. They don't want bundles and other bullshit which forces customers into paying for something else that they don't want. So, maybe sell BT sport cheaper, or either free with a BT broadband or mobile contract, along with a more expensive, but still affordable option when OTT. It has worked in plenty of other broadcasters when they went down this route. |
