That there is favouritism towards jimmy from itv? They didn't really discuss the Jake thing in depth and just joked about it. They basically dismissed the situation because they all really like him.

Clearly not as he said on itv2 hes a bit surprised to be voted out first. They just skimmed over the "banter" thing, just to get across how much they liked him.

If there was any significant favouritism for Jimmy they wouldn't have shown the 'banter', or not anywhere near as much of it anyway, or the other team's discussion of it. It would have been easy as anything to have a much more pro-Jimmy edit. Ant and Dec just didn't kick him when he was down, that's all - they know the papers will do that. They didn't ignore it and they only have a tiny amount of time.

It's all biased. Micheal and tinchy have been sidelined for the Jimmy show - now they are back in the editing. Edwina is suddenly edited to show her self as well how to describe 'into sex' which will split the kids from the older people.

Perhaps they know Jimmy well and how he works and that its just banter we as the viewing public don't know what he's really like to us it looked like bullying I didn't feel comfortable with it but if I knew him would probably feel different

That's never stopped them bringing up things like this in the past.. It would usually be the focus. I didn't see any part of it that wasn't pro-jimmy?

I don't think anyone is angry.. Just think he's an arse. But as a viewer, would have liked to see them explore it a bit more rather than joke about it and dismiss it. It was a massive part of why he is first out.

I read that Jake had called Jimmy names but I guess its ok because he is fit, also they choose to show someone in a bad light.

Yes we used to get it. They used to cut away when they came back from the BTTs to save the footage for highlight shows, but we usually got to find out how many stars they got.

Yes, it used to, there would be a couple of hours about 5pm, where the repeat is now on on another ITV channel. There were some great chats the year they had Janet SP and Paul Burrell.

The live stream used to be interesting; you'd see incidents in a completely different light.
I do think there's a side to Jimmy, though - it even showed through a little in his interview last night, imo.
But I also agree that these shows are always tipped slightly in favour of people like Jake; he gets so much airtime, and i knew he'd end up on the team that were immune from the first eviction.

Producers knew full well that could be seen negatively (personally I found it infantile and boorish)...and remember they already knew he'd then done himself no favours by wimping out of the tombs trial.

If anything he was stitched like a kipper by the edit.

In many ways Jake has proven a lot more prepared and media savvy than Jimmy has. He knew keeping schtum was the wise thing to do. Unfortunately Jimmy was just too stupid. I think out of all of them in there - Jake (along with possibly at most two others in there) is more likely to have been a regular viewer of this kind of thing (Big Brother, IAC, etc) and knows what is acceptable and what is unacceptable to the viewer.

I believe It WAS banter but Jake was and is too clever to have known not to join in with it on the same level (which given some of his comments early on to some of the female contestants) I'm sure he was capable of.

He was all gob and no substance. Never mind the banter, when it came to the trials he was rubbish from the outset when he and Mel had to do a trial before they were even in the camp and Mel did it single handed as Jimmy was such a wimp. And then he's the only one to wimp out of the 'terror tombs', beaten by everyone, he must have felt really stupid.
