This is comical. Maybe there is some conspiracy behind it.
No conspiracy, just you being wrong as usual

Of course some will choose to believe TC regardless as normal, the same TC who refused to sell them bigger screens until the "trade offs" were sorted. Then proceeded to sell 3 year old tech when the profit was there regardless.
Really? The Apple Retina HD 401ppi screen was 3 years old? How about the issue of the apps and how they would sit on a bigger screen? Was that issue solved 3 years ago too? Or the manufacturing of the new phone design? Is that 3 years old?

And even if the tech were 3 years old. Truth is TC can play things however he wants. It's a highly competitive cut throat market. If he wants to play it coy and suggest early 2014 that there are still hurdles to jump whilst at the same time he knows the hurdles have likely been cleared and they're testing a product.. then so be it. That's the world they operate in. He's not going to start talking about future products being real until they're announced. That's why you'd struggle to find anyone on record as saying they think a watch is a good idea until hey presto.. the watch is announced. And usually these products are in the oven for quite a while before they're launched. And that's the products that make it to launch. Many don't.

I don't understand why people get so upset over the most insignificant of things. "Tim Cook once said this... and then they did this... and you sheep just don't care..." so what?

All this debate about the % of the iPhone sales being new customers vs old customers. Who cares? They had their best quarter. I couldn't really care how they got there. The iPhone was apparently dead according to some. Apple finished. No Steve Jobs, no future success. They seem to be doing just fine.

I agree TC is well within his rights to make up tall tales about bigger screens as a reason not to provide them. Merely making the point he is not beyond the old snake oil tactics when it's convinient.

Some however simply wish to hear without really listening.

I have been following this thread with a sort of quizzical amusement. Mr Sword - you really do despise Apple don't you ? There is no one else here who twists and turns like you and refuses to give a straight answer to very simple questions.

Anyone know for sure if there will be two flagship iPhone's released this year?

Currently got the iPhone 5s like but need to get rid of the shite antique ASAP! Thinking of getting the Samsung Galaxy S6 on release day if there's only one iPhone to look forward to in September as there's no way I can have the iPhone 5s for another 7 months. As much as I do like iOS and iPhone's I would go back to Android to get a decent and up-to-date phone again.

I think you have answered your own question. Apple will not do another phone release until September, so go for the S6.

Snake oil sales people don't make record profits, have the biggest market cap in the world and have enough cash to buy up most of their rivals.

Agree completely with all of that.

The way some people latch on to something that Jobs or Cook once said, often years ago, and hold them to it forever after is just completely irrational.

As you say - so people change their minds about things. So what?

Presumably swordman still thinks exactly the same things as he did when he was 12, and has never changed his views on anything, ever. Because to do so would be dishonest and deceitful.

An 18 month old phone is a shite antique?

How on earth do you cope?

So in your mind a perfectly reasonable appreciation of the fact that things can change over time = irrational blind loyalty?

Bizarre.

Nearly everyone on this page is on my ignore list. I refuse to entertain fanbois or haters from any camp.

It's just a phone for goodness sake.

I agree. The lapdog way you try and criticise everything to do with Apple is fascinating. I wonder what this technology company must of do to you to generate such irrational hate.

Of course, your determination to hang on the words of others is becoming legendary on this forum, it has served you well in the past

What exactly is it that you think I believe that you find so strange?

You think it is comical and "truly amazing" that people might appreciate that things change over time?

I'd love to hear why you find that so strange.

So I guess that the Daily Mail and other websites were wrong about a Spring iPhone after all as surely we'd have at least had a leak or heard something about a new iPhone by now if it was coming out in the next month or so?!

I was going to look at getting the Samsung Galaxy S6 when I can upgrade my iPhone 5s in May but there is nothing exciting and WOW about it that's making me really want to get it for upto 2 years so am now in a quandary to either get rid of my iPhone 5s and get the iPhone 6 Plus in May or cope with having a cheap and shit phone and hold out until September and get the latest flagship device from Apple then.

The Sony Z phones have the wow factor I reckon, really enjoying my Z2, some very clever tech, long battery, noise cancelling, waterproof etc...I think the Z4 could be very special.
Only bought the Z2 as a treat as it was reduced in Argos and I just got a big pay rise, been so impressed with it, (ahead of the S5, Oneplus, Note 3 etc for me, all phones I have owned recently)

Religion happens to be the biggest industry in the world. Is the deal there an iPhone awaiting in heaven when you donate 10% of your salary ?

And heaven awaits the US patent office who make Apple millions, if not billions via the slide to unlock and hyperlink parents.

They still look scams against the software industry to me.
