Vicky was being a little insensitive there. She'd had two days of big meals and now a big breakfast to look forward to, whereas Mel was very hungry and hadn't had a decent meal in almost three days. To say "I hope it's a big breakfast and not a small one" right next to her was a little crass imo.
Afraid I am with Mel on this. She was STARVING ….. and all Vicky could bang on about was how she hoped they got a good breakfast !!! How flipping insensitive.

Totally agree and said pretty much the same on another thread.
Very insensitive of Vicky . Surely the other group could have shared some of that breakfast with the 4 who hadn't eaten a decent meal for over 3 days .
Vicki doesn't go a day without complaining about something. Normally food, despite the others having much less than her.
I wonder if she would have been quite so upset by anyone else ie, someone she likes, saying the same thing? I doubt it.

If someone cooking for you is saying they don't know what to do ie, her, wouldn't you offer suggestions to be helpful and not expect to have a passive aggressive reply?
I've only seen her now and again on the past on that day time show she did with Des O'Connor years ago. She was a bossy control freak on that and I went right off her.
If anyone other than Vicky and maybe Edwina had commented on the breakfast, I bet she wouldn't have had that reaction.

Vicki wasn't being insensitive she just hoped that the breakfast was just that and not one egg between them all...Mel doesn't like Vicki and she has shown that on more than one occasion , especially when it comes to cooking...that's the second time Mel has thrown her toys out the pram when someone dare suggest a cooking method ...last time it was Vicki and last night it was Edwina.
I expect a few of them were saying they were looking forward to the breakfast, they just happened to edit showing Vickie doing do. And what about the fact that Kendra rubbed it in by telling them what they had eaten, she even said before she was looking forward to telling them. Surely that is worse.

I thought that was very telling, I mean how she asked ahead of time if they should rub their noses in it and seemed surprised when everyone else said not to. I think in her circles it would be the thing to do. I'd like to think Kendra's mind has been somewhat broadened by her experience with different kinds of people, but I doubt it.

Mel has shown from the outset a strong dislike for Vicki. She criticised her quite early on re: cooking - telling her what to do. As the older woman I imagine Vicki is pretty cheesed off with Mel, but for now is not answering back. Would like to see Vicki stick up for herself with Mel, but somehow, I doubt she will.

It doesn't take much to set her off. Her hunger must have been bad. But not bad enough to storm off when Kendra was waxing lyrical about the wonderful breakfast.
