Bit disappointed Louis won; as much as I voted for him during his series, I was hoping for someone new to pick up the trophy, but I'm sure the dance was excellent! Hopefully this will also shut Aliona up for a while with her constant whinging that she hasn't been given Harry Judd's clone for the past 3 series!

I expect it'll be a very good show on Christmas day

Thanks very much for posting the result. I will record & watch only what I'm interested in & now I know I can avoid the result. Never have got the Louis love.

I saw Brendan's show in Truro in January and Aliona was his leading lady. She was fabulous, as was Brendan of course. What a nice guy he is. I hope he'll do another year or two with Strictly. If Ian returned too, I'd be on cloud nine !!

I didn't even know Louis was dancing this year. Looking forward to it even more now that I know he wins.

That's series, tour AND Christmas glitterball for him now.

Sophie Ellis Bextor & Aljaz - Sleeping Beauty
As long as Sophie doesn't sleepwalk through the routine-.she had a couple of timid performances in the wake of her Charleston

Lisa Riley & Robin - Wizard of Oz,
Robin as Dorothy,no doubt.

Rachel Stevens & Tristan - Peter Pan and Tinkerbell
Rachel dressed as a fairy would be..errr.....nice

Russell Grant & Joanne - Aladdin, with poor Russell painted blue.
A blue camp astrologer-must be his time of month

Louis Smith & Aliona - Jack and the Beanstalk
Aliona in hotpants as Jack climbing up Loowis as the beanstalk whilst everybody applauds the 'lift'.

Chris Hollins & Iveta - Dick Whittington with Iveta in the best cat suit I've ever seen.
Hollins cavorts with a cat?-I'll pass

Thanks Fern. We will not be able to watch it live this year. Glad to see Aliona wins something at long last. She's had really bad partners since Harry

I didn't write the scores down, so I don't remember them. There were several 10s, but only one from Craig if I remember correctly. I think that was for Louis, although don't hold me to that.

Clearly I should have taken a pen and paper and written down the music and the scores.

Bruce and Tess. Bruce needed lots of retakes and Tess only one.

The evening was recorded in the wrong order, with the finale first. I wondered why on earth Lisa was in pig-tails, and then when we saw her Dorothy it all fell into place. Robin's usual style of "stiff" dancing made him the perfect Tin Man.

I'd be happy enough for this to be Aliona's swan song. She might be given someone better next year, but not a male equivalent of a Pixie/Frankie, i.e. potential winner, but someone like Mark who's good but not great! To go out on a Christmas Special win is probably as good as she'll get!
