I'm A Celebrity's first evictee, Jimmy Bullard, has slammed ITV for editing him into a bully on the jungle show – and is shocked at the weight loss he's experienced in the squalid celebrity camp.

Speaking about the 'banter' with Jake Quickenden after Bullard's exit from the jungle, the former footballer told MailOnline: 'I've seen that [footage] back and it was totally tongue in cheek. The way that came across on TV was totally not how it came across in camp.

'The best person to answer that is Jake. We're great friends and we're going to be for a long time. It was total banter.

There may be some truth in Jimmy's complaint about the editing, but the viewers can only judge on what they see. Even so, I don't think he was voted out simply because of the "banter". I think a lot of people were fed up with his never ending showing off and antics turning it into the JB Show, and his poor results with the trials.

I agree with you because I was bored and tired of his voice , playing up to the camera's long before "bantergate".

Jake said he'd have punched Jimmy's lights out on the outside, so I think he must have been a bit bothered you tin-rimmed moron

I don't think "bantergate" was the reason he left. He just was obviously not as well liked as "everyone" thought he was.

I wouldn't be surprised if a few of the campmates arn't glad to see the back of him .

Is he forgetting that Jake told him at the time that if they'd have been on the outside he'd have 'knocked his face off his head', as the 'bahhhnnntahhh' was getting nasty? It seems so. Negative editing my lilly white ass.

We saw what we saw. A very annoying little toad who thought he was being so clever in playing up and irritating everyone. Well his plan backfired, we all saw through his banta like.

jimmy seems to be wrong because if you remember even the other camp was talking about jimmy going too far. so jimmy's assertion it was just the tv audience that didnt get it and saying the rest of the camp was fine with it simply wasnt true

Poor Jimmy No-stars, he so desperately wants to be another Gazza. What his showbiz mates fail to see is that the young Paul Gascoigne was loveable; Bullard isn't even likeable. IMO, obviously.

Yes of course some of it is down to editing the bantergate, but the chap was a useless moron. All his silly antics was pure attention seeking, which I happen to see in many primary school children. They behave in that way because he/they have nothing intelligent to offer. Then there were the tasks...1st sign he was a woos was in the opening episode where he let Mel find the letters. So Jimmy that is why in my opinion you had to go. P.S an Empty oil drum makes the most noise!
