I hope he did not complain when he saw all the footage of himself during the first week. He was hardly ever out of it.

That's true, I'd forgotten that.

Did Jimmy blame the editing for making him look like a twerp?

I liked Jimmy, he made me laugh at times but to be honest he was a bit of a wimp when it came to some of the challenges, he screamed like a baby.

For me an apology needs to have the word sorry or apologise.

Jimmy didn't do that. He just said it was banter. Not an apology but an excuse.

Regardless of this, however, I don't think this is what caused him to be eliminated anyway. He didn't get the votes because people wanted to see more of Tinchy, Foggy and Mel than they did of Jimmy. It's as simple as that.

I seem to remember he said he realised he's hurt him and he was sorry and didn't mean it. Anyway hopefully all this will be put to bed when Jake gets out and tells people his side.

I think Jake will say he was fine with it but that doesn't get away from the fact that Jimmy annoyed people in other ways i.e. being noisey and not being very good at the trials. To be king/queen of the jungle you at least have to breeze through those.

Who did he annoy? The only thing I remember being slightly annoying is in the morning but everyone was saying positive things about him and everyone was shocked and upset when he left.

As a viewer me.....

It was unfair of them to keep showing his personality .If they'd edited him out completely, people would have liked him much better.

Obviously the viewing public? Myself, intensely from day 1.

These reality shows totally manipulate people and show what they want. Anyone who doesn't realise that now where have you been!

Over 8 million viewers had watched the show on Monday evening with an average audience of 8.4 million tuning in to see Jimmy’s shock exit.

But that was down to 7.2 million just 24 hours later as another celeb got the boot.

“It was a demonstration of viewer power,” a source said today.

They told the Daily Star newspaper: “Jimmy feels he was made out to be the bad guy. He’ll be delighted that viewers have made their feelings known.”

Jimmy had been a favourite to win the series and one SERIOUSLY unlucky punter lost a huge £10,000 gamble after backing the footie star to win.



But viewers seemed to turn on Jimmy after so-called ‘Bantergate’, although he has since blamed unfair editing on how the clips were perceived.

“It was edited to make me look bad. If people had been allowed to see the real me, I would still be in there. It was a stitch-up,” Jimmy claimed following his exit.

“I’ve seen some clips and have seen how different it has been shown,” he explained. “I’ve seen that Jake clip back. It was totally tongue-in-cheek, but the way it came across on TV was totally not how it came across in camp.”

With Jimmy gone, Jake is now the favourite to win but Melanie could also be in with a shot.

Pity the same viewers didn't vote to keep him in then .

Looked to me like he was gloating. To get Jake to admit to him that he really did hurt him.
Fair enough if he had just said he was sorry and might have gone a bit too far. But no, he was quizzing Jake to find out how hurt he was, saying he thought he could see it in his eyes, and all that nonsense.

Well hopefully this will be put to bed when Jake gets out and puts the record straight.

Sadly he can't change the fact that Jimmy was a wuss from day 1 and irritated the hell out of many viewers. It's such a relief that the overgrown school kid has gone. That argument was not the only reason he was out first.

Personally, I really liked Jimmy but I can see why he may have annoyed some people. What I meant was this bantergate will be put to bed when Jake comes out.

Strange how it could come across differently in camp isn't it, when other campmates felt the same as the viewers. Didn't he say himslef he'd aplogised? Why?

Why would he? He said while in there that he was pretending to be hurt.
Make of that what you will, but to me it looked like somebody trying to save face and to not want to appear hurt to the public.

Why would Jake get visibly upset when Jimmy left if he'd "bullied" him?

Jake wont say anything bad about any of the celebs

Jake wants to stay a celeb and work in the entertainment industry, he wont want to rock the boat when his celeb status is still in its infancy

Jake wants and needs to be seen as a good all rounder who will take on trials and tantrums with good humor

He got stitched up end of!. Total joke, we all know its the Jake show, i guess they wanted to eliminate Jakes biggest threat which was Jimmy.

Now Jakes got an easy passage to the final and an easy passage to victory! The wonders of scripted tv and editing!
