I hate Jake's music - again. Feels very unfair to me.

I think Mark and Caroline are the lucky ones with the music this week. Mark's song is great for a foxtrot and I feel the same about Caroline getting proper tango music while Jake got lumbered with that theme last week as I did about the Susanna and Ashley paso situation last year.

I don't think Jake's music will work for a Charleston, I don't like that version of Love Shack, Frankie's music is going to fall flat for a salsa, and Simon's music is forgettable meh-ness personified. Why do they always go for Bublé?

Well Caroline certainly has been handed the most appropriate music there - if she can't do an amazing AT to that she doesn't deserve to go through. Seems very unfair when compared with the awful music Jake had last week.

I am more and more certain that TPTB are trying to shaft Jake - that music is almost certainly going to have him dressed up as a clown

Matt and Aliona's Charleston is one of my favourite Strictly dances of all time and certainly my favourite Charleston. I hope Jake's is radically different.

best music is the AS and AT imo will be impossible to do a bad AT to that - the music alone will do all the work - Pixies Cha music is good use it all the time and Marks is a proper foxtrot if I was cynical would think TPTB are manipulating things

I think it's going to be a bit of split in terms of top 3/ bottom 3

Top 3 - Carolne,Simon and Pixie - they've done well with similar dances in the past

Bottom 3 - Frankie, Mark and Jake - not done too well with similar dances.

By not too well - obviously well compared t Scott/ Judy, but with only 6 left they could struggle

Yes he's the other one I had in mind for the dance off. Although the judges and ITT seem to be in his corner so maybe they'll 'arrange' the leaderboard in such a way that he's less in danger? They'll have the ideal opportunity with the Waltzathon

Haven't they used Work for a pro-dance semi-recently? I doubt it's a deliberately bad choice. I'm surprised people think Jake will do badly as well. It's a Charleston - big on personality, low on technique, with lots of lifts so Janette can go explore the ceiling some more. That's his whole niche isn't it?

The music may be traditional (and a heck more appropriate than Zorba) but there's a lot more to AT than just having decent music. Caroline and Pasha will have to do all the work, the music does not give them a free ride

Agreed - but it is also a lot easier to learn a traditional dance to traditional music than trying to shoe-horn a dance you are trying to learn in less than a week into inappropriate music. A distinct advantage to Caroline there IMHO.

yes but it really helps in AT - with the level they are at the moment it would be very hard for them not to get a good score
