Cockney Al didn't like the fact that Felipe outwitted him. Also how the hell did he price the rope at £52 and the Skeleton at £320, it just seemed to me that he plucked those figures of of the air to make sure that they would lose.

Felipe was right. The item did match the description. He was robbed.
Lord Sugar rejecting lawyers and keeping East London barrow boy sorts is par for the course. |

The way he applied the rules was a bit inconsistent: on the skeleton, they were penalised because while Felipe complied with the letter of what was asked for, he didn't comply with the spirit. With the rope, it was the other way round, but they were still penalised.

In previous series, candidates have stated "we need to buy item X because if we don't we get fined £100, whereas item Y is only a £50 fine", so at least it's not completely rigged... Not that I've ever understood the fines - and to be honest, I think the show knows the fines are a bit of a flaw, because I don't think we've ever been told the amount the fines are. Quote:

No doubt if they skeleton idea had come from someone he's looking to hire, it would've been accepted and praised. This process is more about finding fault with those he doesn't want to go into business with rather than finding someone he does - the candidate he wants to hire is found before filming begins. |

TBF Felipe's BF sounded a bit crap, and not something LS would want to get involved in.

I thought that as well. Worthy but not a good commercial investment in terms of delivering a return.

It sounded as if it was some sort of 'Social Enterprise' business, which by their definition can't make a profit, and everything must be ploughed back into the business.

If Sugar had been so protective of Daniel wouldn't he have said how wonderful they were to get the skeleton for such a great price and praised their initiative before sending them all off to Silverstone and laying into the other team?
