" Strictly Come Dancing: Pixie Lott can't get enough of Jake Wood's twerking hips "

"Everyone says Jake is a bit of a guilty crush"

Are you impressed with Jakes "twerking hips" or is Jake becoming all style and no substance and using cheap gimmicks to impress Eastenders fans to get to the final ?

Is Jake your "guilty crush"

Pixie was amazing singing on It Takes Two just now, its a shame the same can't be said of Jakes training video.

Jake is a dud dancer having to rely on cheap gimmicks to WOW the viewers.

That's the impression I'm starting to get now, its a shame as he seemed to have the potential to be better than that, I wonder what went wrong ?

Jakes training video looked very good - one of the best tonight!! Not sure what you were watching - unless Pixie totally distracted you with her overly breathy singing

I thought Jake looked promising as well - fingers crossed this will be a good week for him.

I think that somebody, somewhere, has decided for some reason to push a 'comedy' angle with Jake, and it certainly isn't Janette. It's a shame as I have really enjoyed nearly all of his routines and he has done some great serious routines.

He has favourites and also those he really dislikes. Brendan is one he dislikes and Jake is obviously another. Most of us don't understand why, so you're not alone.

I'm not sure anything went wrong as such. Jake "won" his reputation as being "amazing" when he danced his salsa, and I think he will do a good Charleston because, like his salsa, it is a "do what you like, the more tricks and gimmicks the better, throw in the kitchen sink & no particular technique" sort of dance!"

It is the 10 strict tempo dances he is unable to cope with - the dances where there are a lot more than just steps to learn. Whether this is because Janette is not teaching him those dances well (she herself being a salsa expert & not a ballroom dancer) is of course debatable.

Actually Kaycee IMO his salsa wasn't as great as it may have seemed either. Yes he can move his hips which is important for salsa but more as a necessary but not a sufficient condition.

The performance has a lot of wow but most of the wow stuff was Janette's doing. She has a very impressive party trick and she just wove in Jake to make it look as though he had something to do with making it happen. He didn't. She could just as easily performed that limbo position stuff if he had sloped off to the bar.

Having said that there was something about the Tangoy Waltz he did in week 3, that appealed to me, but I am not a ballroom dancer so I am more easily pleased in that respect I expect.

Exactly the same thoughts I have had. The awful phrase "one trick pony" springs to mind. I expect a good charleston though tonight, he has been lucky with the dance he has been given this week.

I agree. How can Janette teach what she doesn't know herself?

I feel sorry for Jake. I'm just getting how the wrong music can make a difference to a performance and last week I could have cringed for him. This week is no better and I just hope the choreography is outstanding to make up for it.

By no means is he the best male dancer there but I think he can dance and yes his hip action is very good in my book and I like to see it. I've really gotten to like Jake, I don't watch Eastenders but can see he plays a great bad guy. Lovely to see his soft side.

And yes, I don't like Mark but even if I did, at least 2 or 3 of his dances have been like watching Deja Vu for me and yet he's lauded as a beginner, (don't make me laugh). Jake's getting a pummeling with his music, although sadly, his dancing has reached it's height I think.

Before tonight a donkey might be a better description, but he might pull out all the stops and turn into a stallion tonight, who knows ?

Don't understand why everybody is basically likening Jake to Judy
