What's Jake doing that's so thrilling, exactly? Name me one thing he's done since he's been there, please?

The show CHOOSES to air his opinions in the Bush Telegraph, so it's just an illusion that he actually does something, but he isn't witty or gets into arguments - he's just as 'boring' as any other 'boring' campmate.

What I'm trying to say is, if you take a step back for a minute, and look at the actual footage of what we see, Jake doesn't do anything. Likewise, Vicki doesn't do anything. Tinchy doesn't do anything. Nadia didn't do anything. These celebrities simply get their airtime by stating their opinions in the Bush Telegraph, but as far as actually doing or saying something within the camp, such as Michael's witty one liners, or Melanie snapping at others, or Edwina offering a different opinion, or Jimmy and Kendra being attention seeking morons - they do nothing but talk to the Bush Telegraph (and yes, I realise we have to rely on the edit to be a true reflection of this - which I'm aware it almost certainly will NOT be - but I can only judge on the edit we see of the camp. I can't assume Jake is the life and soul of the party whilst Tinchy is the dullest celebrity ever when they're both in the same role albeit one features more than the other).

And, for the most part, the role of talking to the Bush Telegraph is absolutely fine - my favourites this year have been Nadia and Vicki. I acknowledge they didn't/don't add much to the camp atmosphere, but I like hearing their opinions and they interest me whenever they pop up in the Bush Telegraph. My main problem is this forum - "Tinchy boring", "Nadia dull", "Vicki uninteresting" - why is Jake immune from being branded the same? Well, I already know the answer to that - because of the edit. He gets so much airtime voicing his opinion in the Bush Telegraph - a lot more than those in the same role as him - that it looks as though he's the "bestest camp m8 eva" when he certainly isn't.

Unfortunately, I'm obviously in the minority when it comes to observing and analysing this sort of crap/manipulation, so of course the public are buying into it all and will crown Jake their winner - all the while calling the others out for being bland. You couldn't make it up.

People who enjoy watching nice people... people that don't moan or bitch and someone that is very good at trials.

I think that's enough to make him a winner. I don't care whether someone is famous or not, if they are a great campmate, they have my vote. Note... every winner of the series has been great at trials. So far, only Edwina, Foggy and Jake fit that category.

I don't tend to find total slime balls nice , who lurches over every woman in there and thinks they all should fancy him and goes pouting like a child when one has the audacity to not find him attractive . A guy who'd sell his soul to try and be famous but struggles to understand he has zero talent to make it there and probably thinks a regular job is beneath him despite not showing what skill he's got to be rewarded with fame

I like Vicki. And Kendra doesn't really come across nearly as badly as she did at the start. She can be alright. Or at least has shown other sides to herself which aren't always bad. To some viewers this may have perhaps softened their feelings towards her.
I don't vote either though, so you can't blame me.

Tinchy hardly registers.
Mel is a moaning minnie who may even be less popular than Kendra now for all we know.
Jake is still quite unpopular with many people.
Foggy can be quite boring too. He can be quite arrogant at times too.
Edwina isn't liked by a lot of people.

When you think about it the contestants in this series are possibly on equally level footing, with no standout favourites, more so than any series before. With many contestants having pros and cons about them which levels things out a lot more than what we're used to.

I think that this series absolutely anybody can go next. I think that there is so little between them when you consider all the individual contestants' pros and cons. There's things to like and dislike about all of them.

I think that on balance Foggy will probably win with Jake coming second. But even then the way that this series is going he could be out tonight.

Kendra is a loudmouthed obnoxious idiot...so she'll have her fans amongst our stupid population who like all that.

But quite how Vicki stays in ahead of the legitimately entertaining Michael is baffling.

I think it might be because of his aloof and distant manner.
But that was something about him I liked.

That's the way these things go. I like things about contestants which the average mainstream viewer may find contentious. I think that's usually why we can sometimes end up with relatively bland winners on reality shows. Because it's a mainstream show the majority of viewers are probably going to average things out, so will vote for something average.

Vicky has been on Emmerdale ? I read that somewhere. So perhaps many people are voting re being fans of The X Factor and a soap. That would keep Vicky and Jake in. Kendra has tantrums so maybe that appeals to some viewers as well. Plus, there's a sex tape online .
Edwina, is talking about sex a lot, Mel is on tv quite a bit so the majority voting demographic is perhaps very young and also, made up of lots who vote in terms of people they recognise from other tv they watch rather than in terms of what campmates are actually doing.
When Ashley Roberts was second, people had obviously voted for a winner they recognised from a soap. The winner's vote didn't seem based on much else.
Jimmy mentioned The X Factor and was gone before anyone could say, ' bantah'. Michael has never been in a soap or on The X Factor, nor had Nadia.
So sex and soaps and The X Factor seem popular. What people are like or what they do, in the jungle seems oddly irrelevant.

I don't have a favourite now Craig has gone so if I had to choose it'd be Vicky, purely because I've been rewatching 'allo 'allo and really enjoying it. None of them do a lot for me to be honest so would have to choose a different reason other than behaviour in camp

This is what I was about to say. He didn't get any votes when he was on The X Factor - yet now X Factor fans are being blamed for him getting votes on this show. That makes sense.

There is no need to categorise the voters. If it's just X Factor fans voting for Jake then I guess it must be just superbike fans voting for Foggy, and only people who have seen Allo Allo are voting for Vicki.

I don't get why people struggle to comprehend the fact that we are all different and all have different opinions. Why shouldn't people be allowed to vote for Kendra, or Vicki, or Jake?

Kendra knows she is not going to win or even be in the final I think she is suprised she has lasted that long

I think it's Hef's daughter, whatshername that runs Playboy now that is voting for Kendra, now her marriage is on the rocks until next April she doesn't need her back at the mansion.

I can only imagine it's men around 50 something who are throwing Vicki a phone vote as a thank you for getting them through their teenage years.

Joking aside, I think consistency has a lot to do with why people get voted for.

Its meant to be a light hearted TV show made purely for entertainment treat it as this and nothing more, whoever wins receives no big prize as they have all agreed on an appearance fee before the show started, and after the show finishes this Sunday you wont care anymore and myself I don't care who wins because at the end of the day it will not affect or impact on my life in anyway, that's why I never have and never will spend money voting on any TV show.....

I stopped voting on IAC after I watched Biggins on LF and saw what a horrible man he was, yet on the HLs they made hm out to be a funny cuddly guy

After watching BB I knew that edited HLs can make people seem different to what they really are but the year Biggins was in the producers took huge liberties on how he came across on the HLs

I am voting for Kendra what is the problem with that can I ask.

I would never bother wasting time and money voting on these shows.

However if I did I would probably vote for either Kendra or Mel.

Kendra's great. Unlike the others she has no idea about how the show works and has no expectation of winning. Apart from her spat with Harpy Edwina she seems to be good natured and self-deprecating.
