EastEnders - Week 51/52 (22nd December - 2nd January) Spoilers
from digiguide:
Monday 22nd December Stacey continues to push Linda for information - is her silence finally over? Emma discovers some surprising new evidence in the Lucy Beale investigation. Dot is in for a huge shock when she returns home. Tuesday 23rd December Johnny makes an unexpected announcement. Kush makes it his mission to change Shabnam's mind about Christmas. Dean drops a bombshell. Christmas Eve 8pm It's Christmas Eve on Albert Square and Mick is planning on a very special Christmas, unaware of the dark secrets that surround his family. Meanwhile Ian has a smile put back on his face, but how long will it last? Christmas Day 65 minutes With secrets rife, the Carters are set to explode. The Beales do their best to enjoy Christmas despite their beloved Lucy not being there, but there is a particularly eerie twist coming amid the Christmas presents. Is it a message from Lucy's killer? Boxing Day Life for the Carters continues to explode - can they ever recover? Elsewhere one resident looks set to depart, but will they go as planned? Monday 29th December With secrets and lies exposed, will the Walford residents ever be the same again? Tuesday 30th December A familiar face returns to Albert Square. Emma continues to grow suspicious of her friends and neighbours. New Year's Day 65 minutes Despite secrets and lies, happiness and new beginnings, the new year gets off to an explosive start for all the wrong reasons for a few of the residents. Friday 2nd January After the events of New Year's Day, will things ever be the same again? Not that much to go on, especially in the second week, but thought I'd post them anyway. |

Who is departing on the 26th December I wonder. Johnny I think will be gone by then so maybe it's Dean trying to escape. It could be a non carter as well. Kim returns on the 30th December which I suspect will be set on New Years Eve. New Years day sounds epic as well as Christmas Day. I wonder if Ronnie will give birth over Christmas fortnight or will that be saved to January. The happiness and New Beginnings part suggest she may give birth just before the New Year. Boxing Day and Monday 29th will be embargoed for a while. I doubt the full details of the episodes will be revealed until after Christmas day. |

Sounds brilliant.
What bombshell could Dean drop? The only thing he knows is that Linda's pregnant but surely people will know by then? |

So Johnny is still in Walford until at least the 23rd December.
Who is departing on the 26th December I wonder. Johnny I think will be gone by then so maybe it's Dean trying to escape. It could be a non carter as well. Johnny probably leaves on the 23rd, it'll be weird him leaving just before Christmas but I imagine contractual reasons are behind it, given when he joined. Quote:

I think it'll be sooner rather than later, as I get the feeling the baby will be part of Nick's "evil" plot, I don't think they will kill another one of Ronnie's children but I could see Nick threatening his grandson, or even kidnapping him, with it all coming to a head for the anniversary.

Next week, I believe. Don't expect much, it'll be one made by the BBC, and they are the worst.
Last year's Christmas trailer was pretty great, and they did some decent ones around the start of the Lucy storyline (I'm talking about the ones made up of scenes, not the specially filmed ones.)

I'm guessing that Nick is due to leave on the 26th. Ronnie will have raised the money he was demanding but Dot will have asked for him to stay for Christmas. He won't actually leave and will have planned some sort of revenge against Ronnie.

This Ronnie vs. Nick seems to be the New Year's Eve thing, fitting considering she murdered Carl a year ago.

Hoping johnny is not that exit and he sis on screen over Xmas and new year. Isn't dexter supposed to be going over Xmas?
Another theory is that it is Lauren going on maternity leave. |

It all sounds epic, naturally.
I'd love it if Ronnie had yet another another disastrous New Year. |

I hope Ronnie will have a good New Year for once. She has had enough disastrous New Years and years in general to last her a lifetime. I am loving seeing her strong and happy again.
![]() I think the happiness and new beginnings spoiler is most likely to be Ronnie's baby being born. That means the baby is born on James' anniversary. I wrote in another thread, but at the moment Ronnie is the only happy resident in Walford. ![]() ![]() Who would have thought it?

My original thought was it was Dexter leaving. Then I re read it. "Go as planned?" I'm now thinking more macabre that it's Stan. As in he could decide to leave re secrets/Sylvie or I want to live out my days on a boat. Instead he dies.
Anyhow the spoilers all look good though. |

It's a rushed job, but Johnny had to go before Christmas. No way he'd go when he found out his father has been lied to his whole life and his mother has been raped, especially since I'm guessing Nancy will think it consensual at first.

Can't believe we are now into Christmas week. Where has the year gone?
Anyway I'm really looking forward to these couple of weeks of episodes. Christmas Day and New Years Day both sound like they are going to be epic. |

I could see him finally admitting that he was raped while in prison.
I think what could have happened to him in prison will be revealed in the aftermath at some point... |
