Help - What to wear

My husband's work Xmas doo is tomorrow night in the local town. There are about 10 workers and they are bringing a plus one.

I was really excited as I rarely get a night out and I never have a night out in town.

So we could have a drink I ordered taxis there and back and I bought a new frock. It's not an OTT frock, but it's a little black party dress with a few sparkly bits. I love it.

But, I have since found out that the venue is like a Wagamuma (poss spelt wrong) with benches to sit on. I was imagining a restaurant. It's quite a basic noodle bar. So, I don't know whether to go glammed up or leave the frock in the wardrobe. It doesn't help when I can't ask anyone as I don't know anyone besides my husband!!! I don't want to appear too 'centre of attention' if everyone else turns up in casuals. but it is a Christmas doo.

Help. I have no one to ask but you lovely people of DS.

If you're heading on for drinks etc after wagamamas, then wear the frock. But if not, maybe just a disco top, good jeans and some fancy shoes.

Blimey, who has their xmas do in a Wagamama?! I love their food but it's casual dining that you'd pop into after a day of shopping or before the cinema.
Anyway, I'd say go for the sparkly frock OP. Chances are you would all be heading on to a bar afterwards and you'll get the others in the festive spirit at least

I always wear a sparkly LBD with fishnets and heels, at the Christmas Do.

Being a male CEO means I need to let my hair down once a year.
