I agree. Such a sour face.

Why does she shout so much? I can't stand shouty people.

and why is she so moody and stroppy? Everyone in there is hungry but no one is moaning as much. She's draining the life out of the show. IMO

She really is awfull

She was complaining earlier in the week, that she could hear people talking about her in the background when cooking. She wished that they would put their comments to her directly. Tonight, when all the camp were discussing first impression of each other, she removed herself once again, then refused to take part and pretended to sleep. I am so confused over her behaviour!

Some people in there have enhanced their reputation. SHE has not. Maybe she has issues but quite frankly anyone with issues should not consider going into the jungle. The producers have a lot to answer for.

She was just darn right rude tonight, never bothered to join in a simple conversation, get her out soon.

All she does is bitch about everyone having digs at her while she's cooking. If it's such an ordeal, stop cooking! It's not rocket science...
Couldn't believe she found it too unbearable to give a few friendly comments on how she perceived her campmates either, miserable sack of teeth.

I think she's the master of projection. She's ultra-competitive and lost her sense of humour very early on.

I'd rather she lost her temper and blew off some steam, than keep going to the bush telegraph and telling us all that she should've said this, or done that. If you didn't do it when it mattered, it doesn't make you look tactful, it makes you look gutless (especially as she considers herself never to be in the wrong).

I like her. She's feisty, and maybe a bit touchy, but she's real. I agree with her about back-seat cooks as well, they're a real pain. Let the cook do their stuff, and don't complain if they can't make crocs feet taste good!

I agree OP it really is time for her to go. Mel has been one of the biggest disappointments as a camp mate for me in all the series of IAC. She is causing a very strained atmosphere in there, you can almost feel the tension just watching them when the dinner arrives, and you can plainly see the others are terrified of saying anything, either positive or negative to her for fear of her reaction. And then she refused to take part in a lighthearted conversation about what they thought of each other, like Edwina said it seemed too much of a chore for her to be able to say something positive about the others.

If she is that exhausted and tetchy, she needs to go! It would be a much happier camp without her imo.

I didn't like her before she was on the show and, for me, she's done nothing to make herself look better. Out, out, out!

I'm sick of her now, it really comes to something when I feel I could have more of a laugh with Edwina, than Mel😏. Mel is such a sulky soul but she hides it behind playing the victim. STOP DOING THE COOKING.....then she might be less stressed. We KNOW she is capable, she has shown us but she is not genuinely a people- person, is she?! I think her time is up now.

Has she not given a thought that someone else might want to do the cooking. She hasn't given anyone else a chance. She'd rather do it and then moan.

As a number of people have said she has been a real disappointment.

She's a strange one to work out. She is full of contradictions.

She sits in that bush telegraph moaning for England about how she is not going to get involved with the cooking, and just let them all get on with it.

Next scene she is moaning that it's not chopped correctly, it's too big, it's not supposed to be boiled, it's too dry and on and on.

She doesn't seem happy unless she's moaning. And she never stops bloody moaning.

Right that's my moan for the day.

Totally agree with you, the most real of them all. Like you have said, she is feisty and deep down a decent person. Both Edwina and Vicky would drive me mad with their bitching and goading in the background. I am sure they are jealous of Mel because she is such a strong, self sufficient woman. Mel for the win!

I've never liked Mel, really can't stand her now, I just find she is sucking the life & fun of all the campmates, everyone seems on edge around her.

Why are people apologising for not liking Melanie Sykes. Is she on some sort of pedestal ?

I wonder if she is precious about cooking because Gino won and he was the cook. He probably told her that you get exposure doing the cooking. Unfortunately for her she is no Gino di Campo.

Im afraid I would be muttering in the background if I was in there with her.
