Ooh! Now - I must get the names of the dances right! I liked:

Pixies' rumba and paso
Caroline's rumba and American smooth
Simon's quickstep and Argentine tango
Jake's movie week waltz
Frankie's paso
Alison's cha cha - she was FAB!

These are also my favourite dances so far.
I also loved Caroline's paso.

Think this is a seriously overlooked number ... the amazing Paso lines she created are second to none this year ....

My favourites have been:

Simon's Argentine Tango
Caroline's Charleston
Sunetra's American Smooth.

I also loved Caroline's American Smooth even with her trip at the beginning. It was still lovely to watch.

For me Alison and Aljaz's Wuthering Heights routine almost, almost, comes close to matching the perfection of Michael Vaughan's jive. Someone in the comments section of that predictable Alexei Sayle piece remarked that programmes like Strictly are incapable of creating anything original or imaginative. 'How little you know', thought I. 'Alison and Aljaz's interpretation of Wuthering Heights was beyond anything Terry Eagleton could have dreamed up.'

lots and lots but what quickly come to mind are:

paso doble - jill and darren/pixie and trent
jive - jill and darren/denise and james
rumba - natalie and artem/kara and artem
viennese waltz - natalie and artem
charleston - caroline & pasha/denise and james & natalie & artem
samba - pixie and trent
quickstep - ricky and natalie
argentine tango - kara and artem/natalie and artem
free dance - tom and camilla/natalie and artem
salsa - natalie and artem

for this thing they call " the journey": michael vaughn and natalie lowe's quick step.

1. Simon & Kristina's Argentine Tango
2. Jake & Janette's Salsa
3. Mark & Karen's Jive
4. Caroline & Pasha's Charleston
5. Simon & Kristina's Waltz

I don't think there have been very many standout dances at all this series - Simon's AT and Jake's salsa are really the only ones for me. And I've added Mark's jive because it's one of the dances I've enjoyed watching the most, and it was unexpectedly good. The last two on my list are more recent, but the only good things to come out of last week's stupid theme.
