It looks like we're about to have a clear out of deadwood...

Johnny is leaving soon, I'm glad about this because Johnny could f been great but he's become a joke, just walking around doing nothing, it's good he hasn't stick around and left, IMO!

Dexter is leaving (Yay!)

But could we be loosing two other characters?

Tosh isn't credited in any of the episodes, after the Tina situation next week, so does this mean that Tosh leaves? Please!!! The last thing we need is Tina running back to Tosh, especially as everyone knows what Tosh is doing to Tina! Well her family do! I'm sorry but this storyline has been a fail IMO, and really poorly written! All we ever get is them slapping eachover then lying over the bed saying they'll never do it again, it's actually quite boring now! Not to mention the fact that Tosh is a very unpopular character, and Tina works much better without Tosh! The hate for Tosh is really high! There's characters you love to hate, and characters you just hate, and social media and a lot of people on this site (including me) can not stand Tosh, so could this be the end for the character? It's also been around a year she joined, soo?

Also, Aleks... The character may be popular on here (well idek if he is anymore?) but he's very unpopular elsewhere from what I've seen, especially on social media! This storyline with his wife has been very boring, and I don't see the chemistry between Roxy and Aleks, so I hope Roxy doesn't take him back again! Aleks and his daughter are cast around Christmas, could this be their exit episode? I'm sorry, but I really cba to have Aleks and his daughter floating around for ages, I mean I can't even understand what the family are saying half the time! (Latvian subtitles pls:/)

What's everyone else's thoughts on this?

I like Tosh so would be sad if she's leaving. If I was around Tina, I'd probably smack her around too. So annoying and immature.

I'd put money on there being another death we don't know about before this Lucy S/L is over. Probably of someone fairly minor, Summerhayes or Malachy or someone like that.

Tosh I can see leaving for a while but returning at some point during the Christmas period or at Stan's funeral begging for another chance.
If anyone else dies related to the Lucy plot it will be one of the police officers.

There's no excuse for domestic violence IMO.

Please, it's fiction. You know, not real. Tina deserves everything she gets if she's stupid enough to go back to Tosh all the time. No sympathy for time wasters or people that love playing the victim.

Come on, that's so often not the case with domestic violence. Many victims feel like they can't leave their abuser, either because they are frightened of what they would do to them if they tried or because they love them too much to let them go. Tosh has made it out that the abuse is all Tina's fault, and yes it may be fiction but it's supposed to raise awareness of the issue and be an accurate representation of what is happening in real life. If Tina just left Tosh the moment she punched her, there would be no storyline and no realistic approach to LGBT domestic violence.

Don't want to be rude but I don't care. I watch soaps for entertainment. I don't view soaps as public service announcements that are supposed to educate others on issues. EE is not a documentary so I have no problem saying I like Tosh slapping Tina around. Obviously this is not real life and maybe I would think differently if it was real life, but it isn't. I also don't wish to be castigated for having an opinion on a soap.

Please don't hijack this thread and turn the issue into a personal crusade. I have listened to you and heard your opinions.

Of course, we'll agree to disagree.

I hope so... Perhaps it's finally occurred to DTC that they are deadwood and seriously unliked by many fans!

It's a good start if they are out, but I hope they take Donna, Tamwar and Fatboy with them! Dexter is also leaving, which is brilliant!

The intense excitement some people have over other people losing their job is concerning.

I don't get this train of thought. Firstly it's a piece of entertainment. We care about the characters on screen. Why should we care about the actors and their careers? It's about the characters, not the actors most of us want to see rid. I wish people could differentiate between the two.

All actors must know how unstable the industry is and if you want secure work don't become an actor. People losing there job is a fact of life, just deal with it on and move on.

I'm perfectly aware of all of that, it's just these sorts of discussions don't sit right with me because they often turn into very personal derogatory threads about the actors themselves, rather than the characters.

I'm not a fan of Dexter, like many, but I certainly wouldn't stoop to the levels of a small minority on here.

Unfortunately it is a discussion board. I guess you can't help it if people post about things that you find offensive or disagree with.

Well at least you act maturely, you can be proud of that.

Tosh in fact, is the one who needs a good pasting. Would have no sympathy whatsoever for her, if that was the case & Tina did the business.

We've seen her dish it out (with Tina and Shirley) but can she take it? Bet the answer is no.

There's discussion and then there's, as I've got class has said, personal and petty comments about different people

I'm well aware that it's not real but we're being asked to believe in the characters and what they're going through. What's the point in watching at all if you don't?

Just because Tina keeps going back to Tosh it doesn't mean she 'loves playing the victim'. The situation she is in is all too common, she's not being held against her will but she's fearful of what will happen if she does walk away. Some DV victims also blame themselves for what is happening and think it's down to them to fix the relationship not their abusive OH.
