He has been brilliant but still he finished behind a big baby from the X Factor and a ghastly politician. Why? Surely not a "cultural" thing?

...because he didn't get enough votes for him not to be out? It's all quite simple really.

"Cultural thing"? So basically you are asking whether the viewers are racist? Well that's novel!

I would've loved tinchy to win, but sometimes being the shy, nice guy doesn't really get you that far. He has shocked us all though- considering he was favourite to go out first.

Aw, I'm disappointed. I have no interest in any of the remaining contestants.

Cod he wasn't ripping off his shirt all the time and being fame hungry for the camera all the time.

He was boring, I forgot he was there most of the time. Seemed a nice enough chap though but not worthy of winning.

Well obviously he didn't get as many votes - my question is why not? I'm trying to work it out.

No, you just found a way to ask a controversial question to create a furore on here, as is the tried and tested formula.

But why did you feel the need to play the race card is what I am trying to work out.

1. Very, very quiet
2. Got no task tonight. It's really important to get camera time during the final week votes.

He was a bit boring imo

Tell me why Jake is getting more votes than Tinchy. One good reason.

Who said anything about race? I'm suggesting there may be a section of the population who don't like rappers.

Haha... twisting... I think I'll leave this thread to go its merry way.

'Cultural' doesn't mean 'race card'. He did indeed seem to come from a different world from the others. He seemed to have absolutely no desire, ever, to put on a show for the cameras. Even his Bush Telegraph entries were quiet, thoughtful and modest. He also seemed to have had a very traditional upbringing, as you might expect for someone from Ghana: he obviously didn't really enjoy sex talk or flirting.

Tinchy, although a nice chap, was far too quiet and that is not what the majority of viewers want.

Incidentally, I'm surprised I haven't heard/seen anyone else saying this, but I think Tinchy is far better-looking than Jake.

Or pushing the phone box open so the others ( and us ) could hear him shout to his Mum that he had to go so others could get a call. I would've seen his point had he actually said anything to her. So so desperate

It wasn't a case of hogging the phone. He didn't even ask her anything

Oh Please if you back pedal any further you will meet yourself coming the other way.

I don't like rappers, or at least I don't like rap, but I liked Tinchy very much.

If people think Tinchy is boring than they must think people like Jake are "exciting". How sad, Tinchy was far more interesting than that fame hungry wannabe.

Last one... 'cultural' was put in quotation marks, that is enough for me to accept that it was just a polite way of asking if race was the issue.

Anyway, like I said, I don't think this is the thread for me.
