If jake wins the show it just goes to show how much of the public weren't that bothered about the fact he wasn't a celeb. Everyone moaned about his lack of talent and desperation for fame yet he's favourite to win and given 90% of the air time. Surely most people must have known who he was for him to get votes each day. Ridiculous that he's being made out to be this hero guy who everyone likes, he's in it for the money and fame .

No one made a fuss when Stacey Solomon won, and she was just an x factor contestant. Then there was Carol Thatcher, just the daughter of someone famous.

Spot on!!!

I don't get why all the stick. I'd rather someone win who is new rather than someone who is a hasbeen.

I don't understand why people are concerned that he's not really a 'celebrity' - it's not as if it's a star studded A list cast in there is it? He has had a little bit of fame in X Factor - I'd heard of him but I'd never heard of Kendra Foggie, Jimmy or the Irish one (forgotten her name already) - does it really matter how famous they are or not - should it have a bearing on who wins - eg. - should the most famous win? That kind of defeats the whole point of the programme doesn't it?

Stacey Soloman; X Factor reject. Terrible singing voice. Awful, fake speaking voice. Chantelle in CBB - not known previously. Maybe people just choose nice folk.

Spot on. I'm all for him winning, he's been great. Steps up for challenges and apologises when he feels he's done wrong.

Jake or Foggy to win

exactly.

Now, I recognise it is all about opinion and being able to express that........so here is mine.

I love getting all caught up in the fun of the show, but this board just bounces from disliking (often intensely) in one thread one of the campmates to another in the next thread......becomes a bit depressing to read. I tend to look for the good in people always. Yes I got irritated by Kendra's Americanisms and wailing at trials, but I chose to laugh at them rather than slag her off, often thinking "that'd be me" . I can honestly say I have loved them all, and have found this series refreshing in that other than mild disagreements regarding cooking methods, there has been (from the footage we have seen) a really good atmosphere in camp. Yes, there was Bantergate, but my OH said that JB (who I know nothing of) was a bit like that on the field, a live wire and unpredictable, but I took more offense at how inconsiderate he was to Michael with his outrage at being "mistaken" for him, and found that uncomfortable as it moved into an ageist issue. However, you can't live closely with people you don't know without spits and spats, but that is human nature, and some people have reacted very rudely and sometimes a little aggressively on here, towards individuals.

anyhow, I could have posted that on any of the many threads that are slagging off X, Y or Z, but I chose this one in particular because I have never heard of Jake before (in fact never watch XF, had never heard of Nadia, Tinchy, Jimmy or Foggy before either). I would love Jake to win because from the minute he entered the show he has endeared himself to me, he is old enough to be my son, I am not a young person being influenced by hormones I have found him kind, supportive, having an ability to interact with everybody irrespective of age or background, he doesn't big himself up, showing a very level head, and every night I watch (only watch the main show) I am more impressed by his attitude.

Out of the final four, I don't really mind who wins - equally I would have been happy with Michael or Tinchy to win, - because they have all contributed to the whole experience whole heartedly and provided me with great entertainment on dark miserable cold winter evenings.

So? Does anyone really care? Good luck to him. He was presented with an opportunity and took it.

Don't care who wins so long as it isn't Mel

That was the point. She was a 'fake celebrity'.

"He's in it for the money and fame"

I'm over this excuse of not liking someone... so can we say someone like Foggy is "in it for the money and to become famous AGAIN".

All of these reality stars ALL go in for the money. If a celebrity does not want to be paid then they are NOT. But since all of them do get paid, they ARE in for the money AND FAME.

So, don't rule out one person. All the people appearing in IAC and CBB either want to "become famous", "renew their fame" or "make themselves known to a NEW audience"/

Take them into account, then every single person is desperate.

Or it could be that the producers know that the voting public are suckers for the underdog. Except the underdog in this series is anything but - given the promotion he's been given via massive amounts of airtime. And seriously - celebrity aside (I personally don't care whether I know them or not - or else Kendra wouldn't have been one of my favourites) what of substance did he have to say in there? Jake's a pleasant enough lad but he's also 100% boring and has done nothing to deserve winning. When he wins - it will all be thanks to the program makers.

Er - what do you want of 'substance'? Jake's hardly interviewing for Dalai Lama of the year!!
