Is it my imagination or is the walk across the bridge from camp to the interviewing area now much shorter than in older series? I seem to remember the camp mates taking longer to arrive where Ant and Dec are waiting and them having to keep chatting to fill in time. But maybe I'm wrong.

They film the result announcement to camp during the break. Then get them ready and waiting on the bridge.

If you check the bottom corner when Ant and Dec go into camp it doesn't say LIVE but does when it cuts to the bridge

Ok just realised they close the phone lines just before the break which means that if they do pre rec the results then it has to be during the break.

I think one of the main reasons it is these days is so they can bleep out bad language (which they have done a few times this series, from the handful of voting results I've seen), though I guess it does help tighten up the show.

When else would it be? The majority of the show is live (presumably apart from a 30 second delay).
