I made this today because I'm a sad Corrie fan who pines for the old music, proper Corrie font instead of ITV's company font, and proper closing credits!

PS I even re-added the cat's meow in. Attention to detail, much?

The ending looks SO much more professional and classy. I don't understand why ITV thinks it's a good idea to be so cheap and tacky looking. I don't get the logic behind it.

The end of part 1 is much more dramatic with the old break music.

As for the opening, I notice you played the full theme which is something they only really started doing since the revamp. In the days of the old theme they used to fade it out over the first scene and you very rarely heard the full thing played to the end. Am I to take it this is one change you approve of since the revamp?

Thanks - and I agree totally. I mean for a short time we had those 'bottom third' credits but at least they showed pictures of the street, etc. Now it's black and corporate. So unnecessary even with credit-squeezing ITV 'need' to do.

Agreed again. No idea why they dropped it, it's classic! And still works so well.

Yeah I do approve of it since the revamp but it could still happen with the old theme as I demonstrated in the mock.

I don't know why they can't restore the classic music and credit font while keeping the modern visuals...

Thanks for watching the vid though and glad you enjoyed it!

Really like the end credits; a nod back to the days when they played out over a Salford roof top complete with chimney like this:
