I've thought this for a long while now but for some reason feel compelled to write at last. The VT packages - I can't stand them. People say The X Factor is produced from top to bottom, but Strictly isn't far behind. Everything the contestants say in the VTs are prompts from producers - you can tell easily as they say the same things week after week, year after year - nothing natural about what they say at all. Don't get me started on random places they go to set up by the production. I don't see the point of any of this? I'd be far more interested in the contenders' natural reactions to questions etc. Why are they treated like puppets in this way?
