You can't do lifts in any of the ten standard dances. As far as Strictly's concerned lifts are allowed in any other dances, although as we've seen that rule isn't always applied as strictly as it should be, and the rules for the dances that allow them have changed a bit over the years - salsa wasn't allowed lifts until around series 8 or 9 and the number of lifts you can do in AS has crept up from one to three over the years.
But to be concise: Caroline can do lifts in the salsa and Frankie in the Argentine Tango. All the other dances should be lift-free zones.
