A plot to keep Mel in, and to win it. Reminds me of some years ago when another female camper who was fake right through, was kept in to win the show. Mel's in same mode.

Can't stand Edwina, so pleased she has finally gone. About 3 nights to late though.

In the interview with A & D she said that she did it for the extension and for older women on TV. Michael did it to pay for new double glazing. The older ones generally do it for the £ rather than the exposure.

We all know politicians can and often are the biggest bullshitters, but it takes one to know one. And Edwina and 'some' of the public detected that in Mel.

Gutted. Don't understand how mel got more votes? No way edwina deserved to go, she was such a better campmate than mel. One thing we have got out of mel being in the jungle, is that now people know she is one moody, ignorant person.

That it takes one to know one does not mean every "one" has that ability, or that their ability, to the extent that they have it, is infallible.

Indeed, politicians seem far better at putting out BS than at detecting it.

well we certainly could never take Edwina's flirting with Jake other than bullshit or just fun, depending on perspective.

Think Mel has been great so she has moaned a bit still like her and would love her to win think this show is a lot harder for women than men admire all the women who take part in this show well done Mel last woman standing

Sorry but Mel is way and above the better person when it comes to Edwina. Just because Mel had those few bad days when she was really hungry she has been amazing. She has done brilliantly in the tasks and is a true warrior. I love Mel because she is real and shows many sides to her character, just like most women do!

I have voted for Mel and she is my winner!

I wanna know what sort of people are voting to save that moaning, miserable, sour faced bint. Mel has sucked the life out of the show, worst contestant EVER!

I think you will find that Mel has a massive fan base, she has been 2nd and 3rd favourite all the way through. She is a real tough cookie. You are also forgetting that Mel had very little food for 4 days and looked like she lost masses of weight. She looked so gaunt and thin, more than anyone. Most of the camp mates have said how tough it has been in there and if she had less food than some of the others than it is understandable why she was so low! It doesn't help that the old bat edwina constantly goaded her. She was a saint not to lose her temper with Edwina and have a go back at her.

I don't believe you. I think most people do think like me and I'm in the majority that doesn't vote but still moans.
She annoys me more than H from steps, and that's saying something.

I didn't find Mel's reactions to being criticised anywhere near annoying as Edwina's supercilious superiority - especially when she's in the Bush Telegraph damning people with faint praise while adopting a pitying smile.

Yep....no matter how much she forced and painted on that that supercilious and smug smile, the barbs and digs at Mel just kept pouring out at every opportunity............that's the type of 'false' I dislike along with the deliberate misinterpretation of what some one is saying...not sure if they are 'skills' she learned as a politician or if those dishonest and snakelike qualities led her to that field.
She has a massive opinion of herself, loves to feel she has dominated any female with an opinion, slithers around the men and is in no place to lecture anyone.
Fake and conniving, I'm not overly mad on Mel but glad she outstayed her.

Like I have said above, Mel has been 2nd or 3rd just about all the way through the show on oddschecker and she is still there, so whatever you might think or say that you are in the majority then that's obviously not true. Mel obviously has a big fan base or she wouldn't be there now regardless of whether she wins or not!

I agree 100% with what you have said about Edwina! I cannot stand people that constantly try to make themselves look good by putting others down. I am just shocked that so many people have fallen for Edwinas nasty tactics and disgusting character!

Like i said before, I'm no fan of Edwina's and would agree with many peeps negative opinion of her. However, she came across in general as far more positive than the self pitying Mel

I put it down to it being an ITV show and Mel is quite possibly a fan favourite with regular ITV viewers.

Personally I'd have been quite happy if Edwina won the show. And I wouldn't have said that the day before she went in.

Good point. Old Des had many fans and i doubt many picked up any negativity between the two towards the end.

I initially liked Mel's no nonsense approach to doing trials IN ENTRY into the jungle. However, the more I saw of her, the more depressed I felt watching her. She has the ability (from so far away) to suck the energy out of things, one of those people you feel you have to walk on eggshells around). Most camp mates were starving, Foggy, Jimmy but somehow they got on with it, as hard as it was, they knew it was an "entertainment" show. I didn't find Mel entertaining. Yes, she did the cooking BUT only because someone would have died if they took that role from her. I noticed even quiet Foggy was rolling his eyes during their awards ceremony last night because of how desperate Mel was to win the award for Camp chef of whatever it was.

So I don't buy the argument that it's because Mel was starving that we had to endure such a catalogue of sniping, paranoia and melodrama. She is NOTHING like Gino was in camp. This year, I hope Foggy wins, he has been the most consistent. I never knew him before the show but I hope he gets more airtime after it, he appears to have a very calming nature about him.

My feelings towards these two women have changed so much in a couple of weeks.. didnt like Edwine much at all and liked Mel... always thought she was sweet...NOT NOW... Mel is controlling and out to win no matter what.. she hates the world because of her marital status clamining she needs no one and is self sufficient.. oh you think so Mel.. we all need others no matter what jobs we have.... Edwina on the other hand has been funny, entertaining, did the tirals she was asked to do well... a bit interfering and should still be in there.. Mel should be out, sorry Mel but youve morphed into someone I dont like, your arrogance last night letting the others know you thought you were top dog turned me right off.
