I know that some won't like an X Factor contestant to be shown on the Music Forum, however I just have to post this here.

This has been dubbed as one of if not the greatest reality tv performance of all time internationally! Its not just about vocals, but it seems a true genuine star and entertainer has been found in Fleur East!

She can sing, dance, rap, beatbox and perform = THE ULTIMATE POPSTAR!

Just watch her version of Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson!

Its VERY VERY rare that a talent show can find anyone in the calibre of Fleur East. Finding a good vocalist can be done, but finding a genuine popstar, who can sell concerts, arenas, and entertain is VERY Rare!

Just watch the performance below! Its like something out of an awards show!

Forget about X Factor this is just a great performance in its own right

Its certainly up there with the very best , bookies will pay out bets on her winning now and close the book.

Cowell referred to 3 memorable acts , Fleur is def one . the other may be Sam Burke with Beyonce the last I cant think maybe Jedward Ghostbsters, suggestions.

I think you mean Alexandra Burke, not Sam Burke

Fleur is like Janet, JLO, Britney, Katy Perry, Ciara, Usher, Chris Brown, they are entertainers not vocalists! They have the whole package, their are performers! X Factor looks for more than the voice, thats why there is the voice and x factor

It was a good performance, but I still think Alexandra is the better all-rounder.

I watched it earlier and It was a good performance but an exagerration on Simon's part

Her vocals were not brilliant. But she is a good performer. But earlier in the show's run, Fleur was a good vocalist but her vocals become weaker each week.

She reminds me of another Alexandra Burke/Misha B though.

And...? All the best vocalists in the world are opera singers or singing in church choirs. You don't need to be one of the best vocalists in the world to be a pop star.

i think she's overrated

her vocals is not that impressive. it is average and ordinary, maybe her rapping and dancing make her noticeable but apart from it, she's an average singer..

andrea and ben deserve to win more

Don't you think you're getting a bit carried away? I think people can appreciate her talent without all this silly premature overhyping. It was a great performance for X Factor, but where has it been dubbed "the greatest reality TV performance of all time internationally"? And we're yet to see if she can sell out concerts and arenas.

i really don't understand this love for fleur. when she hits her big notes it sounds like she's forcing them out and it's sounds strained rather than natural.

Some people are building her up WAAAYYYY too much. She's a decent performer in one of the worst years for the X-Factor.

Absolutely, the vast majority of pop music do not depend on great vocals.
The best pop music is about great pop songs.
Those songs seldom require great vocals just a basic ability to sing.
The creativity in this case is with the producer (quite common these days).

Fleur may not be a Tina Turner or Aretha Franklin but she did alright with a great retro sound...reminds me of the 70s.

People need to get a grip of their lives. Greatest performance of any reality TV show ever? Honestly, you actually think that?

Just to name a few who have more talent in their little fingers..

Leona Lewis
Alexandra Burke
Kelly Clarkson
Adam Lambert
Carrie Underwood
Fantasia
Melanie Amaro

Uptown Funk was a really good performance. It really was. But people need to chill out. She's a decent performer in a year full of mediocrity

Stand-out singer? - No
Stand-out dancer? - No
Stand-out rapper? - No
Stage prescence? - Yes

As someone else said, she's good in terms of this year's X Factor as they're an awful bunch. In the grand scheme of things though, nothing about her really impresses me. Even within the X Factor bubble, she's far from the best thing ever.

I had a giggle when Simon said that. I'd love to see Fleur try and sing, as just one example, (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman in the way Kelly Clarkson did on American Idol.

It was a good all-round performance. But she didn't sing when she danced, and she didn't dance when she was singing. That's right out of the Beyonce school of performing. I'm another who doesn't get the fuss. Her voice is average, and actually very weak. She plays it safe vocally in every performance. I compare her to someone like Rihanna who isn't the greatest vocalist ever, but is far superior to Fleur. I think Fleur will get swallowed up in the real world.

I wouldn't say it was the greatest reality TV performance of all time but it was really good. I'm not a regular watcher of XF (I watched the YT clip) but I think the show needs to produce more contestants like that and less of the bland MOR Sam Bailey-type. She'll go far in her career I'm sure.

It was a great performance, truly was. But I think more so because up until then there hasn't been a "wow" moment in the competition from anyone. If Fleur had been in the competition with Alexandra and Leona, who constantly had wow moments, I don't think this would have been as stand-out.

Leona singing Summertime and Alexandra singing with Beyonce I think are far superior to Fleur's performance.

I'd like to see Britney, Rihanna, Madonna, Katy Perry sing that to, but we know they can't, yet it doesn't matter, they're all more successful than Kelly.

Fleur can sing, she doesn't need power vocals, like the people I just mentioned having a powerful voice seems to be irrelevant.

Give Fleur time, she'll improve. If you're gonna compare her to Rihanna, well she already dances better than her so she's halfway there (I'm a huge Rihanna fan by the way so not trying to disrespect her).
