Yeah, he can be childish and get in a bit of strop over a small thing, but don't we all? Plus, have you seen Mel's snappiness due to hunger
On the fame and talent side. Can't really comment as I don't watch XF. Even he's surprised he's there. No he's not a celebrity but due to people dropping out at the very last minute and 2 early departures, they were struggling for replacements.
If something comes up for Jake because of this, then good on him. he's been given an opportunity and every opportunity should be taken with both hands.”
Hey, I don't hate the guy, and I get why he appeals to certain types, but as I say he typifies everything wrong with modern 'celebrity' for me, and I don't buy this 'nice' guy thing that some seem to.
Re the Bullard thing, I largely agree with you. Both were awful. That's the key word for me though. Both. It seemed weird how Bullard took the full fall and all the flack and Jake's comments (which were pretty disgraceful, and clearly designed to hit where it hurt too in their own right) were largely dismissed. Not a fan of Jimmy either btw.
I don't bemoan people trying to do well for themselves but the celebration of this kind of 'celeb', and the amount of leeway they get for their own bad behaviours, and what seemed like the promotion of him from the off, is for me, off putting, and adding to the dumbing down of tv.
It's not a personal thing and I wish him well in life, just hopefully not on my tv screen!
